YEEEEAAHHHHH
As some of you may know, I recently bought a 95' Dx Coupe off of Jeef the other day, and I have been greatly impressed by it. It runs smooth, and the interior is immaculate. I got it home on Sunday, washed it, cleaned it a bit and put on my old wheels. Drove it back to URI where I parked it on Sunday night.

Well, as of 930 tonight, I was given a call by campus police to inform me that my car was without wheels.

Fan-fucking-tastic. Picked up by a cruiser, and went to asses the damage. Apparently they took the wheels and nothing else -, although my car is sitting in the parking lot without any wheels right now. My father should be comming down tomorow afternoon to bring my steelies and and lugs so I can drive it home. Luckily, nothing else was damaged - (maybe short of my car sitting on the suspension, subframe and exhaust). I can't fully look at the car, due to the fact its raining buckets right now, and the parking lot is in about 1" of standing water.

Just goes to show that no matter who you are, anything can happen.

Also, if anyone has a set of wheels kicking around..I might be interested once I get my insurance money.

Thanks.

What a great way to start off a build.

On a lighter note, I have a set of RSR down springs, an RSR Exmag exhaust system, amber corners and new brake pads on the way.

Fuckers. Send pics of the wheels and the area. A watch will be posted. Also any curb rashes or markings.

RI is like car theft captial of the east coast.

why?

no lojack coverage.

sorry to hear you got hit man :(

that sucks, what wheels were they??

I have a friend who lives in Narragansett, and his sister goes to URI. And my old roommate lives in Providence.

damn chris that totally sucks :(

did you have locking lugs on it?

I didnt have locking lugs - but I really had no other problems in the past.

Jeef kept the fat fives, I had a set of Rota slipstreams (black) with Hankook K104 tires on them. Oh well, hopefully my insurance will help out.

damn dude..sorry to hear about that..thats fucked up!

i'd avoid insurnace like the plague on a set of 500 dollar wheels....

going through them, will only cost you more in the long run.

You're probably right, considering my deductable will probably be at least $500 in the first place. Right now I'm just counting on the fact that there were 3 security cameras watching the lot.

That freaking sucks. I never had a problem with the fat fives on that car and I have parked it in some shitty areas. Hopefully everything else is fine with the car. DId you have the alarm on?
Chris, if you want to buy the gsr rims from me let me know, I'll give you a good deal.

That sucks man. Happened to my friend's integra last year. Parked the car in a lot by our fraternity house, went to NYC for the day, and came back to a car sitting on a flat basketball and a piece of wood. He only lost LS meshies though.

that sucks for sure, but feel lucky that they didnt take the whole thing strip it then set it on fire. because ive had both and wheels are a hell of a lot easier to replace than the whole car. Call it an excuse to upgrade and get a good alarm

when my bestfriend was going to UC San Diego .. campus security caught some guys trying to steal his blades off his GSR.. what they did was take the lugs off first.. let the car sit for a bit then come back to get the wheels.. and they actually left a note on the window.. dont drive your lugs are off.. hahahah.. anyways.. when they came back to get them the campus police caught them..

Well, the police are being douchebags and arent following up with the investigation, citing the tapes were "inconclusive". They're probably too fucking lazy to look at them.

Good news is, that I've got my hands on a set of brand new Falken Azenis RT-615's, unmounted for cheap - now to find some 15's to mount them on.

Ironically, the alarm was on, and wasn't set off. I had to disarm it to get into it.

I got a set of 17" Kosei K-1's with kumho estra supras....make an offer... :p

and check your local craigslist and pawnshops....and the next set of rims put a few distinguable marks on them to identify them if you see another set like them... engraving pen on the lip could be your freind...if they buff out the envgravings, then you'll deff see them as your old wheels....;)
