i dont know what is wrong but the thing doesnt want to run. it will crank, it has both spark and gas, and im pretty sure the timing is right. the only way i can get it to turnover is when i spray starting fluid down the intake. i dont know what else i can do.

Here's a couple questions.

1.How did you test for both the spark and gas?
2.Which ECU are you running?
3.Which engine harness did you use?
4.What model did the Civic start out as? eg. STD, DX, SI

So you kept everything OBD0 then. Does the ecu flash any codes? When I did this swap I missed a ground to the thermostat. Double check your wiring. I've also had a problem with a civic not starting do to the ignition coil being broken. It still gave a spark but I guess it just wasn't good enough to start the engine.

ok i checked the injector plugs and there is no power goin to any of them. whats up with that? im pretty sure the main relay is still good. i do get and ecu code 6 but that wouldnt affect it any would it?

And make sure it's plugged in to the resister box right(or at all. you DID install a resister box with the MPFI conversion right?)

And when mine didn't start, I double checked my wiring with a friend, and realized that I had 2 plugs in the wrong spots.
Can you get a picture of the IM area so we can check all the wiring?

yeah i double checked this past weekend. i tore all the wiring apart and followed the instructions carefully but yeah i can take a pic of it and post it tomorrow.

on my tps, i just used the plug off a scrap z6 harness so i wouldnt forget to switch the wires. also there is a gr/yellow and black wire on my harness behind the block, do i run that to the thermostat housing? i am runnin a resistor box. i swapped my buddies box into mine and still didnt do anything.

hmm... I was gonna say your MAP isn't plugged in correctly, but since your running the a6 IM, thats where it's supposed to be.

I would suggest installing the Z6 IM, a p28 ecu, and a conversion harness.- just do it right, and it will run right.

Which injectors did you install in the engine? Cause the obd0 inj. from the 88-91 civic si need the resistor box and the inj. off the 92-95 civic si (d16z6) don't need it. If your injectors aren't getting power this is the first place I would look though. Also I think the Z6 IM will give you a bit better flow as it was designed for that engine. Also if you do switch to the obd1 p28 or chipped p06 ecu be sure to change the distributor.

i have the z6 injectors. how would the wiring change if dont need the resistor box. and im runnin the dizzy for the z6, what would i have to change to if i changed the ecu

I can't remember right now but I know the wiring is different for each injector setup.

If your trying to run on the pr3 ecu you should be running an obd0 type of distributor like from a d16a6.

As for switching to obd1.... Since you already have the injectors and distributor all you would nee to do is make/buy a conversion harness and either buy a p28 ecu or mod one of the more common and cheaper p06 ecu's to run the engine

ok i decided to go back to the a6 injectors since i already have an obd0 ecu (pr3) so when i got done, i went to try and start and it doesnt even crank now!! what gives? it cranked a couple of days ago and now nothin. could be the main relay? isnt it supposed to click a few times? it used to click before and now no click. could this be the problem or maybe the starter?
