ok.. i went out for a drive just a bit ago and i noticed on the way home when i pressed in the clutch all the way it was squeeking (spell check) .. what would cause this?? i did drive through a small puddle .. it sounds like its coming from the engine bay.. help please.. is it anything i should worry about..

i may just end up running by a clutch shop and ask them.. i know of a few reputable shops here

hard to say....it could be simply that you need to grease your clutch pedal, if you are sure it was a high pitch squeak and not more of a growling sound, it could be a bad pilot bearing

it happens as soon as i press the clutch all the way in.. it sqeeks at the last inch..

squeaking clutch

here's your problem, the throw-out bering that slides on the input shaft for your trans is sticking. trust me, i had the same issue and when i went to take the bering off, i had to use a hammer. (ya, it was that bad). ne-ways, your gonna need to pull off the trans to replace the bering. mine as well do the clutch while your at it, since if the berring went, the clutch proberly doesn't have much life left in it.

it sounds like its coming right behind the pedal.. like i can feel it in the pedal.. i probably just need to grease it up.. its almost like a rubber rubbing against eachother

ya might want to check the master cylinder too if it's not the hinge for the peddle. A rebuild kit should be pretty cheap if nessasory, if it turns out to be the problem.

It most likely isn't the throwout bearing, the throwout bearing makes more of a growling noise + the diaphragm spring is what comes in contact with the bearing, not the clutch disc.

-----At any rate, try greasin the pedal, mine is squeakin right now but I've been too lazy to fix it :D and let us know if that's what it was..
