also could i put a top end of the vtec engine on mine to convert it to vtec

if i was you, i would just save for a stock d16z6 or maybe an ls b18b. the ls swap can be found for less than $1000. that's what i would do.

first of all im new to the whole honda thing and today my d15b8 started smoking blue under wot and i need to find some kind of swap. i need info on swaps to do to my civic let me know anything on a swap please help

check out hmotorsonline.com, they have a d15 vtec motor, tranny and ecu for like $650 plus shipping, the package comes with everything you need to swap you cx motor to a 130 hp motor. The only tricky thing is finding someone to do the wiring or you can research it yourself on the internet or here at hondaswap to do the vtec wiring. you will have to use your exisitng wiring harness from your cx and wire that to the new harness(from new engine) and then wire the vtec ground and knock sensor into the new ecu. That motor (d15 vtec) is a direct bolt in swap. Figure 130hp engine, full exhaust (no cat), header, intake, skunk 2 intkake manifold, stage 2 clutch, and a 12lb flywheel= 1445hp, maybe mid 15s in the 1/4 mile time.

You can do a mini-me with the B8. There's a guy on D-series.org that's building his D15B8 and has made 120whp so far IIRC, and over 50mpg. If you look in the right places, you can find a Z6 swap for under $300. :)
