i have been reading and searching for over a week and i have nothing to show. i am starting to get confused over if. i no what is looks like when hooked up, but dont know what it does.

so what exactly does datalogging do for me and my turbo setup? i am turboing my car this winter and i need to know what i am doing. i have all the uberdata and stuff and i have all that under control and i am purchasing a wb o2, datalogging cable chipping kit and chip burner from xenocron and i am just wondering what it does.

neway thanks, and i know this is a noob type question and i feel like an idiot asking but i have looked for over a week and i have nothing to show.

it basically records a 'pull' so you can reply it back with the car idel/off and see whats up and make adjustments.

i'd also highly suggest crome over ubercrapper :)

i also have crome and turbo edit all loaded on my computer. i am/was choosing because i found it was easier to use and i have a couplee easier bin files that match my setup i was going to start with and then tune from there

why do u suggest crome over "ubercrapper"?

what exactly does this log? does it log a/f ratio or what else?

thanks guys

crome is the superior program, harder to use or not. I personally think they are similar in terms of ease of use. both are pretty intuitve. crome just has more robust features and its better supported.

datalogging will log all kinds of stuff. rpm, map, a/f, tps, vss, etc etc

Crome isnt all that hard to use, most of it is in plain english terms. I was a crome noob a few months ago, now my car runs great, very smooth and gets 32mpg if I drive it nicely :)

To datalog you will need to do some more modding to the board to get it to log the wideband though. Are you any good at soldering? Every worked on a circuit board?

also. if you are datalogging with uber, you cant just start running crome and expect it to datalog. crome does it differently and requires the removal of j12 from the ecu where uber needs it installed. if you plan to switch back and forth it would be a good idea to install a jumper that you can easily remove and replace, like a jumper used on computers.
