EGProject

YEEEEAAHHHHH
Formerly Jeef's daily beater - now my project. Short of my wheels getting stolen, everything with this car has been going well. Changed the oil, tranny fluid, and fired on some EBC Greenstuff pads. Had change the muffler, so I got an RS*R Exmag cat-back. I didn't like the polished muffler, so I painted it. Threw on an HKS-ripoff filter, redid some grounds, changed the plugs and adjusted the valve lash. Purrs like a kitten. Jeff did some nice speaker work with the speakers and amp, so I have some decent bump too. The new shine is due to about 8 hours of work with a buffer and a lot of wax and polish. Thanks to Jeff for the awsome car!

Frontal shot - note the awsome steelies.

I have an LS motor, sans tranny in my basement, and I have my eye on some Work Equips... I also have a set of RSR down springs sitting in my garage, but I havent built up the courage to put any tools on the rear suspenion yet, since my last adventure yielded broken bolts galore.

dude, every EG that ive lowered results in broken bolts. its called poor planning on hondas part. they dont rustproof anything.

my 93 mirage had 4x the mileage as my 92 EG. took me like 6 hours to swap all the shocks/springs. the EG took me 3 days.

I've never broken a bolt in my day. Never.

4 hondas. Multiple supspensions. Never a broken bolt.

The car is looking good. The buffing did the car well. Did most of the scratches come out? Sometimes I wish I kept the car but atleast its in good hands instead of just sitting for weeks at a time. I never removed any of the bolts for the suspension so I don't know how hard they will be to remove. Now you just need to get some decent wheels for it. Good luck with the car.

Yeah, I used a good deal of polishing compound to get most of the little scratches and swirls out. there are a few small trouble spots left, but nothing major. I plan on having the car resprayed in the spring anyway.

muaha ej took 2 hours and 15 minutes... although, I did have to cut the rear driver spring off because the lower bolt for the shock was rusted on tight... ^_^

so is this a stock ls goin in, or are you going to have some fun?

Um.....fun will be had.:D

SC34 anyone?

No, seriously - my plan is to do some freshening up of the block first, then fire it in, with some turbo parts to come later.

Currently have on the to-do list;
ARP Studs
New HG
Timing belt/water pump
N1 crank pulley
New oil pump?
Z10 girdle
Manifold/TB

I'll probably rock that for a bit, then peice together a kit. Might just spring for the Peakboost top-mount kit. Theres a kid locally here with an SC61, lovefab manifold, stock internals and ARP studs running 12 psi with a decent tune. I'd like to see 10psi by springtime.

when the time comes, i have a turbo timer (in the box) laying around... and i think a boost gauge. Real cheapo for you my american friend. :noodleman:
