sounded more like a sequential shift and not an auto. i definitely dont need to tell yall what kinda cars use that kind of gear box on a road course.

Ditto.

Ever hear of Aston Martin or Ferrari? Guess what? they also run them.

i was thinking, ferrari, renault, mclaren, cosworth, toyota and honda (Formula 1). but yeah, those street cars use em too. :)

for 80 grand, they can keep it.

nissan fucked up on this one, big time. it won't sell. there will be like 5 on the road and will be dead in 3-4 years. mark my words.

i believe you. whole heartedly. its not domestic and its not exotic (like porsche, maserati, aston or ferrari). It might be on par with all of them, but it would take something closer to a 45k price point. The normal american point of view is why spend that much money when i can have a Z06, or a Viper...For a little more even a Ford GT. If i really wanna flaunt my cash, ill drive a DB9 or a Ferrari 360/430/575/599/612.

But don't you think the GTR has a big enough fan base waiting for a USDM release that they'll sell quite a few. I mean if people go through the trouble of importing these things from japland, i would think they'd eat these up. All they gotta do is release another sequel to Fast & Furious that has this car in it, they'll sell like hotcakes.

ummm...what is the target audience for import sports cars and movies like the fast and the furious. i dont know many people between 18 and 25 that can afford an 80k price tag.

Thats just me.

Holy shit, 80K? i musta missed that part. In that case ya, hotcakes it will not be. lol, me talkin outta my ass as usual...

80K is just a # reporters are throwing around.

Nissan has never once said anything about an 80K price tag, at least the last I heard....

and FYI a lot of the people over on the Z boards have already preordered theirs. no matter what the cost. they say they dont care.

The people Nissan is trying to reach is not the 20-30 year olds. more like the 35-45 year old guys.

If it goes for 80K and gives what they're saying, I dont think it will do bad.

80K is pricy but name another car that is going to offer 450HP and AWD in that price range.

Z06 doesnt have AWD nor does the Viper. gotta go over to the 911s to get that.
911TT AWD cost what?

real sequential gearboxes don't shift like that...it sounded like the "autostick" on my CL-S

I'm sure it has paddle shifters, but its not the same as the Ferrari/Aston/ect road cars and definatly not like an F-1 car
Those cars have milliseconds between the shifts and you don't hear that "soundslikecrappyclutchslipbutitsanautomatic" noise between gears like that GT-R had

A Cayenne turbo is only 90k :ph34:

I dunno still. I see mostly Carreras, SLs, SLKs, 5s and 6s running through downtown. I do see G35s too, but something tells me not a whole lot of people are going to spend that kinda cash on a nissan. 1,000 vehicles is about what id expect. 5,000 at the most.

for 80k. i'll buy another m3 and spend 25k on hookers.

i would spend the 80 on a new m5 with more power, better looks, and more room for the hookers
