for this swap i have the understanding that i will need everything out of a civic sir engine compartment, is this correct? or is there things i can go without?

no. do a search because all the info is here but you will be needing b-series mounts, ecu, axles, rad. hoses, and also need to run a couple of wires for vtec

on the us eg's it is only the 92 and they are only from the shock tower out.........you still have to run a few wires inside to the ecu from the shock tower for it to work

Actually, they are wired from the ECU to the canon plug, so the wiring is in teh engine bay.

well not all of them because my personal 92 had some wires in the right place but not all of them...............come to think of it there was only one wire in a17 and that was it....!! but hell your 92 might have had all of them

I just put a B16A into my 92 Si. It came wired for VTEC but had no Knock Sensor pre-wired. You will need:

1). Axles
2). ECU (unless you chip yours for DOHC VTEC use)
3). Shift Linkage
4). Radiator and hoses for a 99-00 SI
5). B series motor and mounts

You can use your stock harness but if your car does not have VTEC now you will need to run VTEC wires for pressure and solenoid. If you get the OBDI then you will need to also extend the wires for the O2 sensor as the O2 is on the header for your car and is near the catalyst on the B16. You will also have to run wires for the Knock Sensor into D3 on your ECU plug unless you get an ECU chip (like Skunk2 or Hondata) which causes the ECU to not look for the Knock Sensor.
