Hello, I have a 94 Accord LX. I was hoping for some insight on a motor swap. I do have a Turbo for the car and I was wondering if I should swap the motor for the H22 or I've ben told it is possible to mount the H22 head to the F22 block. From the research I have done so far it seems the hybrid setup would be the way to go as the F22 bottom end has 8.8:1 compression ratio. I also want to keep the Accord transmission for the longer gearing as I am looking for more top end rather than 1/4 mile speed.

well i would rather go with the h22 like the hole set up i have a 95 coupe wich is for sale but any way the f22 vtec lacks some power i had a civic kick my ass all he had was a catback and air intake and rims and high p tires and he made my car look like a old school honda like 5 cars ahead and i have a air intake system go with the h22

I'm sorry but you sound like you have no idea what you're talking about.

If I were you, I would stick with the F22 block and get either an H23 or H22 head. DOHC would allow you to have the tunability of a DOHC ( hah ) while maintaining the low compression the F22 offers. This is a great set-up for a turbo, and not to mention the F22 engine is extremely EASY to come buy, and not to mention very cheap.

i agree. stick to the f22 bottom end and get a dohc head (modification to block required) but that can be done by an experienced honda guy. hell just the sohc is a good motor to turbo. you can run some hella boost with the stock motor.

well the f22 is ok for me but people i know that have had both say the h22 is better plus lsd tranny i have a f22 vtec and dont want it matter of fact the car is for sale the hole thing 95 coupe accord dirt cheape and if i was to stay with it, it would have a h22 euro type s engine

if you dont want our advice dont ask. i have an h22 and love it...but if i go boost im buying an f22 and putting my head on it. you cannot buy aftermarket forged pistons for the h22 but can for the f22. so there is one advantage.

so if you have your mind set on the h22 then get it.

well when did i ask for any advice i did not
