Most of the bases have those now too. a friend of mine watched someone try to haul ass onto the base past the checkpoint and he said those things pop up fast, and it pretty much totalled the car.

i seen a similar thing at a pay for parking thing in the city. you go into the car park and then when you want to leave you pay and go thru a boom gate thing. any way a couple of cars in front of me someone tried to go thru on someone elses ticket. the first car went thru like normal then this retard in a hyundai exel tried and the boom gate hit his wind shield, broke it and crumpled in the pillars a bit as well, any faster and his face would have a city of perth parking logo inprinted on it. fucking funny as hell. then we had to wait like 1/2 an hour to get.
