So the wife never drives the van ('05 Grand Caravan SE), and always wants to drive the CRV... I miss having a 5 speed, so I figure since I'm stuck with the payment, might as well trade it in for something I like...

Here are my requirements...
'04 or newer
4 Door Or Wagon
5 Speed
20+mpg...
$20k or less.

Thats about it. My main thing I'm thinkin of is an '06-'07 Legacy 2.5i. I'm debating the Civic Si Sedan... But its a civic, and i'd like somethign a little bigger..

Opinions? Suggestions?

MazdaSpeed Mazda 3.

Wagon. 4 Door. 250Hp. 280ft lbs. Well over 20+mpg. 23k new.

I wish I bought one when I bought my tcnew . I think if I still have my tc in a couple years I'm going to trade it in for one.

Dodge Magnum
Dodge Neon SRT-4
Ford Focus ZX-5 hatchback
Nissan Sentra SE or SE-R
Toyota Corolla S (the sport version)

Corolla & Sentra = Too small.

Magnum = $25-$30k+ for anything decent..

Focus... Are you serious?

SRT-4... Still a neon.. I want something that will last more than 100k.

mazdaspeed 3? hmmm....

ok so i suck at making suggestions, but outta the ones i suggested, id go with the Magnum. they look badass lowered on a set of clean 20" wheels.

mazdaspeed 3 :)

28K out the door or cheaper used = mazdaspeed 6. that is going to be my next car in the spring.

I spent some time in a Mazda 6 about a year ago, it wasnt a bad car but felt super cheap.

I'm a fan of the MDX, you can get them used for under 20K but they only come with autos... it's a trade off for a DD driver. =)

AWD lux FTW

one of my olds had a liberty a while back, if its anything like the legacy its a decent car

i agree with you on the 6, but the speed 6 is different inside...

You dont read well do you.. :p $20k or less...

No MDX... Already have the CRV for an SUV... I want a CAR..

I was thinkin WRX or WRX Wagon.. But I wouldn't be able to leave it alone... I'd have to do a Utec, BOV, and a few other things, and then it would never stop... The legacy I would get an n/a 2.5, and other than stereo & suspension, maybe do an exhaust just for the look.

Oh I thought you were canning the CRV.

WRX wagon IMO isnt bad but I'd never own one when you could easily but for rather cheap might I add a Saab wagon with the same motor. but with more plush.
before buying the TL I found a saab wagon loaded with leather and sunroof I think it had under 10K miles and the sticker price was 19K

being 24 and hungry for speed / hp i vote for the srt4. if you dont beat it and do the maint youll be okay for longet than 100k it's a diff bred, and well with in your budget.

. but the speed6 and wrx wagon share 2nd which is a toss up for 1st
