Ok, I just got to my 200 mile mark for my setting of the rings.. I did an LSvtec build.. with stage 1 cams, cam gears, and 12:1 comp. Pistons.. Using Hondata S200 for tuning purposes.

It seem to run fine until later in the day after my oil change, I started the car up and it felt sort of on the rough side. I felt vibration even through the clutch a bit. Then what da know it throws code *21 VTEC spool solenoid valve (although it doesnt stay on all the time. It turns off when the car is restarted, but the car just still sounds DIFFERENT you can say.

Is this a typical issue to take place during break in time, or can anyone shoot some solutions at me... I checked the oil and its not milky, and the level is fine.. So I eliminated a blown gasket, or even a leak. Thanks in advance guys.

Im just nervous since the tone is a bit more different, and the vibration is heavier.

BTW- ive been using 10w-30 the entire breakin time. (not same brands)

do you have solid mounts or inserts. those will cause a vribation all around. if its missing at all check the dist cap and rotor

The solenoids connection looks good, the solenoid itself looks like its aged a bit but seems to be ok.

The mounts and inserts are all there and cool, But that would be something to give overtime, and not in one shot right? I drove the car half the day, then starting on THAT one startup it was all bad. Seems as if its a connection...

I hope I didnt hit anything loose, I was putting in my rollbar, racing harnesses, and new clutch pedals so i dont know. My ECU wasnt in the open though.

Check your timing belt to make sure everything is still lined up... If you didn't tension the belt properly, at startup or shutdown is when they jump teeth.

Thats what I thought too, Went back and checked it to be sure and it lined up.

ok, it's vibrating when you start up. how about after you take your foot off of the clutch, is the vibration still there? does the car appear to be choking at all?

alright guys.. and gals. Problem solved.. Turned out to be that my bolt was slipping on my driverside M. Mount.. I cant firgure out why this wouldnt rattle while the hood was open...I still dont see how this was enough to throw the code.. Whether or not it contributed. but thanks for the help.
