Showing up to conferences and seminars and shit where professionals are in a haggard middle-aged hatchback.

So I signed a loan today.

2007 Civic LX coupe. Perfect for what I want a car for, and should help get rid of that "just graduated highschool" look.

If nobody has done an owner's review let me know and I can write up some impressions in a couple weeks when I've had it a couple days.

a loan? on a civic? omg...

nice pickup. i know how you feel. i hated going to people houses in a primered sil-80. so instead of getting a loan i quit my job.

So, now you have the "just graduated college" look instead :p

it was here long before you :p

It's usually used when n00bs come on saying:

"I have 50k i want to spend on my civic, what should i do?"

:buyanm:

I have my reasons for getting an LX as opposed to an EX or better. First off, the options that the EX adds wouldn't really benefit me much. another 2k on the sticker (the EX lists at 19.5k) for what? A better stereo, factory wheels and rear disk brakes. The sound upgrade is relatively meaningless for me, and the factory wheels would be replaced eventually - but I know the rear disks are a good upgrade. However, the car will be used for nothing more than daily driving so I can't justify the extra money. The Si is around 21.5k, and for what I'm buying the car for I don't need the higher performance drivetrain.

EDIT: Brian, I'm 21. At 21 what exactly is wrong with this "just graduated college" look? I figure when I'm old and gray like you maybe I can have a bimmer too. :p

Long time no see "Lance" hehehe

Well, I can share your view... I'm buying a Fit very soon... and I have to sign a loan. I'm sick of being afraid my car will strand me somewhere....

Awesome job on the civic... and I'm 4 years older than you and this is my first new car... :) It's exciting. :) You're lucky you can get a new car that young.

LOL 'Lance'. That was great. At least if by some twist of fate I end up in the porn industry I know what my porn name will be. heh heh. The Fit is a fine little vehicle. Couple grand cheaper than a civic, too.

Yeah, a coworker of mine in another branch has a dark green mid '90s M3 that I would kill for, but any BMW would be counterproductive to my goals in a daily driver automobile. I really think for me personally this is the best possible purchase at this point in my life. It'll be paid off when I'm 26 and ready to make a decision about whether or not I really want something 30k+

Am I the only one who isn't worried about being stranded in a car that's older than many of the people on this site?

no... if my cousin hadn't totalled the accord... i'd have a car as old as i am... it would NEVER leave me stranded... i know it. that little accord hatch was the shiz.

I drive a 1976 Chevy Vega. Right now I'm in my 89 Pathfinder Tetnus mobile.
