i had a del sol with a sohc vtec and now i have a 89 crx wit a b16. how do i know if the vtec is working right. it seems to me in my sol i can feel when vtec hits and in the crx i dont feel it. any help would be great.

well in a b series you should hear it very well it may not be working

well the one wire going to the selnoid its self you can tap into it with the car off and touch the hot post on the battery to see if it makes a clicking noise

well yea you can do it that way just run a straight wire from the selinoid to the hot post but just touch it a few times to hear it click dont just hold it on there

hey if you say that you have a b16 and you say that your rev limiter is 7000 then most likely your vtec isnt working because it happened to me in my b16 crx when i pinned the ecu i switched the vtec oil pressure and the selinoid make sure that you have those two pinned right in the ecu and make sure you oil pressure is grounded after i had everything right it was hitting and my rev was 82
