I'm gettin tired of my car. I wanna have some extra cash, and this car has treated me well. With only a window motor and inner antenna ever failing on this car... it's by far, been the best car I've ever owned.

I wanna do something different... something cheaper to own.

This really isn't a for sale thread... even though it'll drag on here, but I just want to get some opinions.

What do you think my car is worth? Paint is decent with only a few minor door dents that I've painted over with touch up paint. It also has curbed rims which you won't notice unless you're looking at them. The front pads were done in October 04, and the rear pads/rotors were replaced in August 05. Timing belt was done at 60 or 65k miles.

It has 80,300 something miles on it with an Intake and a rear strut brace, along with a contoured shift knob.

The Kenwood deck will stay with it along with the 1/4" kenwood tweeters, 6.5" kenwood speakers in the door, and the 6.5" blaupunkts in the rear.

The tires will probably need to be replaced, ES100s don't last that long. I've had them on since April of 05 and were rotated every six months.

Factory options include power windows, power mirrors, spoiler, tilt, cruise control, cold AC, hot heat, fog lamps, blah blah.

Based on the description, what would you guys pay for a 2000 Si with 80,300 miles?

I'd think 7500-8500 +/- would be a fair deal, which I believe is what I still owe on it.

Fair $8,235

That's for my area, I owe $8131 on it as per what my book says.

mint ones go for about 8k... so given the body dings and what not, i'd say 7500 obo would be a fair asking price.

That's about what I figured. Another 3 months that'll be about what I owe.

It'd be mint if it wasn't for the parking lot at Ingram Books. I hate that place. :(

welll you know what my opinion is if you get another vehicle so i will keep my mouth shut. i know where THE perfect project is at (no its not mine).

ehh too bad i couldnt take over your loan, James or id get it off ya. its a good car y'all. ive ridden in it plenty of times.

good luck with whatever you decide to do with it James.

WTF it's recommended. Are you going to offer an opinion or just that?

Maybe it's an SI thing, my old DX was 105K and my old LX was also 105K

60K for a timing belt on a 2000+ car sounds low. but it could be a B series thing.
still hard to believe.

I had mine done at like 94k, but I was also trying to stall thinking I would swap the head. Now I'm thinking about selling the car outright.

How much longer do you have on the loan?

Aug or Sept of 2010 is the last payment. I refinanced it July of 05.

Given a few more months I could sell it for fair value and have about a grand extra on what's left.

If I can find something with 120 a month payments, I don't see how keeping a car I'm paying 250 for right now is in my best interest financially.

wtf... holy no credit. I fell sell it for 9,000 or best offer. Then set your limit at what you owe.

No I have good credit... I just paid wayyy too much for the car. (Here's where B will say I told you so)... but it didn't matter, I wanted the car at the time. Three years later I want something cheaper to own and drive, but just as reliable.

I was thinking about high balling it to some Mustang guys who might want a daily/winter beater. lol

250 a month??!?!?!?!?! No one wonder you're trying to get out now. I understand ya.

What do you think you're going to get if you sell it?

Well, I dunno. Depends on who I can talk into buying it. lol

My payments WERE 300 a month... but I owed too much on it prior to refinancing it to sell it.

Anybody want the above described car for 8300?

250 a month is dirt cheap y0

200/month will get you a 10k car

my payments are $878 :p
