I race at a local circle track and they are making everyone run a SOHC. My question is which head and block combination would be best. I know that the f23a makes the most power from the factory. I need to know both ways SOHC Vtec and SOHC NON Vtec. Just depends on the rule change this year. I guess you that you could kind of do one like a mini-me but I do not know which combination is best. Thanks

i guess im just not following you. as for vtec sohc the f23 head and bottom end are you best bet. the f series head wont go on something like the h22 bottom end....and even if it did youre not gonna get anything out of it. if you have to go non vtec then the f22b2 will be your option there. there really isnt a head swap for those motors that will make them better. you will just have to invest in some hich comp pistons and header to make a lil more power.

Are the rules set yet? Post them up if you have them.

If you're limited to SOHC and no forced induction, look at higher compression pistons, a custom cam profile, and some really good tuning. If you're racing on a circle dirt track, I would assume that you can tune for a pretty narrow range of engine revs- so you can really get the power up if you want.

What kind of car does the f22b2 motor come in? I have not got the rules yet. They have changed them from last year. I will find out on 11-11-06 and then I will post them. Here is my other problem I have to put it in a 96 Integra because that is what I built last year and I do not want to build another car. Can that be done and if so what Tranny??

f22b2 (nonvtec)was in the 94-97 lx accord.

yes it will go into your integra just buy the h22 mount kit for your car. they are the same. use the stock tranny if you have to. other wise i believe that the h2b tranny adaptor might work and if it does a b16 tranny would be a good one to use. if you want shorter gears h22 and b16 tranny is what you want. if you want longer gears then f22,f23,h23 are the trannys you want

How much is that tranny adaptor? If I run a f23a Vtec, what would be the best computer choice and what could I do to it to make it better. I think I could cheat a little bit on the computer. Also with a b16 tranny which axles will work? Do you think that a f23a Vtec whould have more power than a stock mini-me? No modifications except the switched head.

i dont know what the mini me is. so cant help you there. i dont know how much the tranny adapter is or what axles to use. there is more than one thread about this on honda-tech.

the f22 is 135hp and f23 is 160hp

as far as computer the stock computer is the best. dont go putting an integra p72 or civic p28 on it...that is ghetto. just use the factory ecu for that motor.

A mini-me is a 96-00 civic vtec head with a 92-95 DX civic bottom end.
