Tips or help before i begin my swap

Dear members,

my name is michel and i live in da netherlands. I own a honda crx del sol esi from da year 1994.

I have bougt a H22a JDM 2.2liter Dohc vtec prelude engine with 220 hp with wiring harness and ecu and gear box , everthing ! complet engine block that i want to swap. And my hasport engine billets and axles are coming.

But i have al lot of Q because this is going to be my first engine swap ! i am a car mechanic so i am good with my tools and getting da engine in wont be a problem ! butt connecting some things can maybe give a problem ! so i want to know if there is someone thats has done it , or knows about it !

a few Q are :

hasport motorsports also has a wiringharness , do i also need to order that ? is that a harness so i can connect my gauges en speedometer ?

how is the gear / shift linkage ? do i need a prelude linkage or can a put the del sol linkage on da prelude gear box ?

Is the fuel rail or fuel line da same ? can i put the fuel line of my del sol on the fuel rail of the prelude engine ?

I have got a engine harness with my prelude engine and a ecu , butt if i ve got that and i connect my fuel line and my starter and i give the ecu his volt , shouldnt it start and drive ??? the gauge s dont wont than of course butt the engine should run right ?

Do i have to change my powersteering line to da prelude pump or does the del sol line fit in to da prelude pump ?

your gona need a 1990-93 accord fuel rail 90-93 accord half shaft and your gona need a accord or prelude shift linkage.and your power steering is not gona fit unless you do some major modding

Thnx !! my tech englisch is not super , what do you mean accord half shaft ?

Do you know a way so i can use my powersteering ? usa other pump or something ?

any other tips or does someone have different idea or seggestions ? All is welcome ,

i belive you reuse the cable linkage from the swap, and the shifter from an 96-01 accord... not 100% sure


and the harness is ok to get because of the ease of reinstallation but its $$$. i couldnt tell you much exept that you already have the right axles...

You are right butt thank god i know some off the best tuners in da netherlands !! a friend of mine i see on shows has a b18c in a del sol en a other guy i know has had every engine in his del sol incl a h23a and later a s2000 engine ( randall from Hontec ) ! If i cant do it i can knock on this door , but i am now trying to get as much info before i see them on the next show.
