also if i bolt my BOV to the manifold and leave esposed will i get the chatter noise ? or does something else have to be fitted from the BOV

( i no im a total noob ) just lil help will do fine

your BOV doesnt bolt to your manifold, your wastegate does....

look through BLAAST PERFORMANCE - CUSTOM TURBO CHARGING, they sell quality rebuilds at a nice price. look at the compressor maps to find one that suits your needs.

id suggest either a .48/.60 or .63/.60 57 trim, both will make excellent power with a nice pricetag

dont buy there manifold plain and simple. do you want any bottom end? low compression big turbo b16's have no NO bottom at all, so think of that before you jump on a turbo.

and 5-bolt (ford-style) turbos are rare as hell, and no "good" turbos come in that shape flange. get a normal t3 4-bolt mani and downpipe setup, and you can run just about 90% of every turbo made

how so? pretty much every .48 a/r turbo ive seen runs that flange. i agree if you are runnin a .63 or bigger, but ive seen lots of turbos with that exhaust side. my t3/t4 hybrid sitting on my desk shares the same flange as the Ford .48/.60 right next to it...

if you're running a 48 on a b16, there's other issues at hand....

why? Precision makes almost their whole lineup with the option for a .48 a/r, and support hp up to 580...

dunno about being rare but my t3/t4 turbonetics with 48 ar has a 5 bolts batern

just so you know ssauto 5 bolt turbo hosuings are different than real garret so that downpipe wont work on a REAL garrett/precision 5 bolt housing without cutting up the downpipe and re welding it.

for a B16 an SC61 with an E cover and a .63 exhaust would be a good combo for 400whp.

im prepared to re-weld just need a turbo and then play it from there

do NOT buy an ssauto turbo or any of the XS power ebay shit.

there's no damn need to go "fully standalone" by means of a Haltech or something. If you are OBD2 and you decide you want more tuning capabilities, go with Emanage or AEM EMS.
