Helping my little bro build a Turbo Civic Coupe.
We have the B18C head on the B16A2 block. Got offered internals from a B18C (a mate, we know the parts are good)
What parts can we use to make the B16 better? Will the B18 rod's and pistons crank all go in and make a difference??

thanks

Tom

Nope- the B18C block is taller than the B16A. Putting the rods and crank into a B16A will push the pistons up through the combustion chamber. Use the head.

The B18C rods and crank will NOT fit without major modification. The pistons will fit with some minor modification, but you'll lose power. Your best bet would be to keep your B16 bottom end, and use the B18C head on. You'll gain a bit of compression with the GSR head, which will ultimately result in more power. Also, I've heard rumor that GSR cams are better for turbo, but I haven't seen any concrete proof of this.

:werd:
The b16 pistons have a higher cr than the gsr! and the gsr head has a smaller dome so cr will go up. Definately resulting in more power. My boy said that the gsr cams are perfect for turbo. he then switched the intake cam with a ctr one and liked it even more. I say, use that gsr head and just leave the b16 block alone, since the gsr crank and rods wont work.
High cr + high boost

you could put the b18c crank and rods in a b16, but youd need custom pistons with raised wrist pins.

i got a b16a2 block...im tryna also build for turbo, shud i leave the block stock nd do like use were jus sayin get the gsr head cams nd stuff?

You should first learn to type, and then learn to create your own thread.

At any rate, if you're building for turbo, sleeve it to 85mm, put some 9:1 pistons and Eagle/Crower/Carillo rods in, and boost the piss out of it.

boi i kno how to type lol i jus choose not to type it all out lol, nd i kno how to make a thread...i made a few but no1 leaves nething for help

does it matter wut kind of 9 : 1 piston??

aight thas wassup tho, im a lil new to this turbo stuff na mean...1st time tryna go turbo nd boost my car...jus tryna get as much info nd help as possible....
