where is the fill plug?

i dont have the factory one, and my chilton doesnt say, and i have no money. so that is one reason why this forum exists... jerk.
 
they're pretty easy to find, if you get under & look around ... near/above the drain plug/nut; it's a big nut on the side on the passenger side
 
I found out my ex-mechanic filled mine full with motor oil ... bad. IMO only use honda trans oil
motor oil isn't that bad. it's pretty common for hondas.
 
Honestly that's what I thought too, get_nick. Even with my torqueless wonder .. I noticed shifter got very 'notchy' & then the bearings started makin noises it never made b4.

my nissan is like that. if i don't use royal purple, it gets that way to. I have had 6 or 7 hondas, and a lot of the time they are notchy. for some reason they don't like to go into reverse when it's cold either.

It's also pretty easy to fill from the VSS hole...

D-Series 5 speeds take 1.9 qts
B-Series 5 speeds take 2.1 qts
