I have a question about hooking up a MSD ignition in a 92 Accord EX, w/ a H22 swap. The question is, I believe the engine is JDM, has a internial coil, and teh car has a externial coil, i have found lots of right ups on how to go just one way or the other, but I want to convert the h22, to externial coil (Blaster SS), and run a MSD 6A-L box, what wires go to were how do I hook it up correctly?

I have the wires hooked up now, but we are not getting any spark so I think I have something done wrong, unless cause i dont have the wires for V-tech hooked up? I have contacted MSD, no help, and I called the place I got the engine from and, they werent real helpfull

Here's a link to instructions from msd. To go external coil just run you hot and ground wires that go to the internal coil out of the cap and to your external coil.

Having vtec hooked up wrong probably wouldn't cause the car not to start.

Msd boxes cause more problems then they solve they add no hp at all. The stock honda ignition is good up to over 400hp.

If your going turbo anytime soon the msd box really gives problems wile tuning timing.

And They cause honda ignitors to fail left and right to. If your tach start's jumping you know the ignitor is starting to fail. And when it goes it's either to the junkyard or a real pricey piece from the dealer beck arney ignitors from autozone are pretty good though.
