Maryland Crabcake with a twist of Jeff - Hands on Kitchen

1LB crab meat, backfin is fine lump is better. Pictured is backfin.
1 Egg
1 Jalapeño seeded.
1 tsp fresh ginger
2 gloves fresh garlic
small bunch of Cilantro
1 TBS old bay spice
dash of Worcestershire sauce
dash of salt (optional)
1 tsp mustard deli/zesty style
2 TBS Mayo
2 TBS plain bread crumbs, I prefer fresh bread crumbs but had these handy...
About 2 TBS worth of Fresh grated parmesan cheese
Japanese panko bread crumbs (optional)
Oil for frying.

I'm going to take a bunch of these down to the family get together for a side dish on Turkey Day.

i miss going to the inner harbour and eating from this one place there by the water on picnic tables. i havent had one single crab cake since i left md that was worth a damn. old bay is awesome for almost everything as well! old bay on butter popcorn and i could continue but you guys know what i mean.

and vtec, ya old bay is awesome. i generally only like it on seafood, but its ok on other stuff too. my brother will eat it straight up, lol. and at my high school, old bay was one of the condements that was always stocked, lol. MD loves old bay
