yea he went ape shit, I wouldn't go that far just because of some hecklers.. a lot of people did leave when he said that..

my first reaction when I heard about this was that people over reacted. Anyone who knows anything about comics knows that there is nothing taboo for subject within their sect and they are generally rather de- sensitized to everything

but after watching this I don't think I agree with myself

this particular incident was uncalled for, it wasn't over the top comedy, it was just racist. He has no talent, Seinfeld has no talent, /thread

I don't have any problem with what happened and what he said. If that was any other comic, black, hispanic, asian, ect... and a white person interupted him and he said "Get'em outta here, he's just an ignorant honkey, cracker," or whatever... The crowd would have been laughing thier ass off... I don't understand why any other race can be/act/joke racist but a white person can't. This is supposed to be a 2 way street. and i'm not even white so i'm not just choosing sides, just being fair.

he does have a point

don't want to play devils advocate too much here but you need to remember it wasn't the black people who kept the white people as slaves...

but on the other hand, it was ok for the guy to call him a cracker ass etc etc etc...?

if this had been part of chris rock's famous act regarding black people vs n words and someone interrupted him and he said now thats a N---, then it might have been somewhat appropriate, but this was a bit over the line, well a lot over the line

Chris Rock also coined the phrase "Cracka Ass Cracka" and he didn't have to apologize on Arsineo Hall the next night either...

and for the record the slavery thing is a tad old, I've never benifitted from Slavery nor have I ever "held a brotha down"

well, while i'm trying to be neutral i would say a black person has more of a "right" to be offended at n-----, than a white person has to be offended at cracker

but of course both terms are racial and inappropriate

and slavery might be a tad old, but segregation and racial inequality is from a not so distant past

Personally, I think Kramer is a has been. He was funny with the show. He is not funny without it. He is an actor turned comedian, not a comedian turned actor. What they said has some flavor and isn't to condemn the audience. What he said was basicly hate words.

In responce to Recked

this is an interesting topic, allot of people still feel this way and I think it's outdated logic.

This isn't the 1860's, it's not even the 1960's not even close.

My father came from a welfare/foster home, 13 kids in a 1000sq ft house that should have been condemned, two alcoholic abusive parents, in and out of foster home ect.

yet I've been told before that I had a "head start" cause I'm white, WTF?

The last thing to go when a person or a culture is mistreated is that "Victims feeling". I think that is as big of a problem as anything African Americans now face on society...

thing is, it wasn't a joke. I agree that every other race has racists people but white people get more heat for it...but this incident he blatantly called the black guy a nigger as a derogatory term(listen to what he says before calling him a nigger, and proceeds to call him a cheap motherfucker afterwards). If it was indeed a joke, it wouldn't matter. There are plenty of white comedians that say nigger/nigga(especially on Comicview) but black people don't care because its a joke.

I can agree that he went a little over board but for Black people to be still mad at slavery and all that other shit is plain fucking stupid. It's been a long fucking time already and everyone has moved on except for them (well most of them haven't moved on, some have) if some Chinese guy got pissed off at a white person because he called him a chink, it's ok for him to get all crazy because they were slaved into building the rail roads? c'mon, give me a break. The Blacks who haven't moved on from this whole thing are being retarded. It didn't happen to them, to their mom or dad, hell some of their grand parents might have not even been alive during segregation.. They want to be treated as equals but yet most get all butt hurt when done so. Most of them hate being treated differently and hate being segregated but yet now they want their own language, (ebonics) schools, ect...shit, they had all that but wanted equality, now they have equality and want some sort of segregation again...retarded.

Forgot to add: Most of the leaders in Africa sold and helped capture some of their own for the "White Man" so they can be used as slaves. They should hate themselves just as much as the white man for slavery.

holy shit, you are agreeing(sp?) with me too much lol it's almost scary considering how much we've argued in the past lol

Yeah I am. I think people are going to make this into a HUGE deal and it was just a white man insulting a couple black guys. If it were the other way around, it woulda been laughed at and shrugged off.
