Hey.

Got a type r, and im looking to install it into a 96 el, with the stock auto motor.
Ive got enough information about the auto to manual conversion. Now im just looking on specifics as to what axles/wiring etc needs to be done. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to know exactly what has to be done so i can gather parts and complete the swap in as little time as possible once its started.

Im a toyota guy this is my first hondaswap sorry for the ignorance.

I'm not familiar with an Acura el. Tell me more. Is it an Integra?

They look kinda like an EK coupe and sedan together.. they're pretty cool though.

my bad, i forgot you guys dont have it over there. Its basicallay a 96 civic. it has the same motor and drive train. So its basically swapping the type r into a 96 civic sedan.

Just use the wiring from the Type R, axles and mount brackets from the R also. Use the 3 torsion mounts from the EL. Should be pretty cut and dry. May have to add wire(s) from the shock tower to the ecm. I don't know if you have a knock sensor now. I'm assuming you already have VTEC, no?

Use LS 94+ integra axles.
You shouldn't have to add any wires.
and for GSRCIVICTN, there are no shock towers in EK's.
In a 96 civic, you have to use 99-00 Si rear mount bracket and driver's side upper mount bracket also.

What do you mean there are no shock towers? Where does the engine harness connect to the ecm's harness??

they're all one piece.
From the engine harness it goes inside the car's passenger side (under the battery tray) as one entire harness.
