New Tuner (96 Accord EX)
Yea umm... I'm kinda new to this thing. I bought a used Honda Accord 96 EX 4 door model in the hopes of tricking it out. I'm doing the cosmetic stuff first then I'm trying to hopefully go under the hood. What I want to know is what parts should I buy to increase performance and get a mean engine sound (is it just a muffler?)I'm not trying to spend a fortune or increase the maintenance schedule on my car (lol), just want some more punch. Any suggestions on which parts?

BTW.... where the hell is the ECU? In the engine?? (really green on tuning cars)

careful not to blow the welds on the intake manifold.

the ECU is in the lower right kick panel.

too many jokes.

in all seriousness though, the first line was a stab at your username.

the second line answered your question.

If you are sitting in your passenger seat, the area where your feet are is the floor board, the plastic part to the right of the floorboard (kinda infront of the door) is the kick pannel.

lol looks like i need to brush up on my movies skills.. I havent watched that movie in a while but thanks guys! Im gonna check it out tonight and get my hands dirty.

"Yea I like the tuna here too" lol

Fuck you asshole, nobody likes the tuna.

paul walker??? hahahahahahahaha thats some funny shit. just so you know shit isn't like the movies. good stuff isn't cheap and cheap stuff isn't good, the cosmetics are nothing like the movie, tear grphics are gay, wait i take that back, almost all graphics are gay. neons aren't cool, most body-kits are fugly.

cheapest/best options right now are the standard Intake, Header, Exhaust
cold air intake = pulling air from outside the engine bay for less heat, less heat = cooler air, cooler air = denser air, denser air = more oxygen
or if you're really poor just remove the stock silencer and get a K and N drop in air filter for your stock air box

header is pretty simple
improved exhaust flow = more power

you will get a deeper engine sound without the stock silencer, or with an intake, but most of the noise you're looking for is from the muffler
selection is key, for a nice, but not obscene sound

Thanks guys.. I'll probably work on my cold air intake and that filter thing first. I love neons so I have to disagree with you porky (no offense) Since I live in the Bahamas where everything costs double, I know ill have to be shipping in stuff from you guys in the big USA. Give me an estimate on the intake, headers and exhaust....
