hey guys, first post on this message board. i have a 1996 civic si coupe currently with the d16y8 and i have a perfectly running 92 integra. i recently blew the engine in the civic and i want to put the integra engine in it.

io am aware that i will need a hydro to cable clutch kit and custom engine mounts and del sol b series rad hoses. besides those parts what else will i need to complete the swap considering i have everything from both cars..

is this swap even feasible, oor is it ridiculously complitcated?

any links to this swap already done ..b18a1->ek would be greatly appriciated

well first your car is a ex not a si,,and you will need shift linkage from a 99-00 si and you will need to convert from obd2 to that motor,,but the way i see it just buy another y8 or a b18b the b18a is not worth it unless your gona boost it

He might be Canadian. Their Si = our EX.
 
Waste of time, money and effort. Sell the whole swap and use the money towards another (newer) swap.

alrighty then well, sry for going off topic but would it be easier to put this engine into an 85 crx(carbeurated), if i have both complete running cars.

Probly not any easier, at all. More sensible considering the power comparison ratio.
 
I'd say your better off stripping your 96 civic engine and seeing whats blown, unless it's just screwed up beyond repair.

if thats so, then sell off the non-blown parts, people with D16Y8's need parts, no where sells'em that I know of.

if it's 100% blown then either get another D16Y8 from someone who's doing a swap.

or just sell whats left of the civic.
