help

thanx for answering guys, like i said 88 crx hf, to go d15b or d16 do i have to change wiring ? i think i'm obdo, dpfi if wrong tell me,i looked around and i think i'm right? now if i have to change wires and ecu how hard would it be? does some place sell the jumpers if anyone has a link. thanx alot Bob

well as of today, people are telling me HFs are MPFI, so you should be good there. The d15b is the best choice (performance wise). and if your going to go with a d16 make it a a1, a8 or a9. you can also go with a d15b2 or b6 (not to be confused with the plain old d15b).

the JDM DOHC ZC will give you the most for your money - better performance than any SOHC D-series and better than any stock B18 - bolts right into your car with minor wiring change at the distributor - use PG7 ECU - best if you can find a Si transmission to go with it

i dont know how i missed the a6 in my list. the a6 is a peppy engine for a crx. i havent tested it at the track, but my buddy's new crx si FEELs faster than his stripped ek w/ a y7.

you guys are quick, I know the d15 is the best can anyone tell me a good link on a price? I checked with a junk yard near i live and all they had was d16y7 the whole car basicly for $450 what do you think? in my mind, hp wise i'm taking an hf to a si. can i take the intake manifold and my distributor off my engine and put it on the d16y7 and run it off my ecu? christmas coming soon i have to do as cheap as posable and it's my daliy driver. can anyone tell me if the car is obdo? thanx Bob

thanx guy, even with d16a6 it all comes down to wiring, i have never done a swap before, to me nuts and bolts are nuts and bolts it all comes to wiring, what engine would be the easyist to wire out of the d-series? so the d16y7 is no good then? thanx Bob

thanx guys, can you give me any info on that wiring? if mpfi is one injector for every piston i have that {88 crx hf-b15b6 -1.5 -8v -sohc-pgm-fi- 62hp- pm8}if wrong please tell me, this is all the info i could find on my car? it does't have the up sweep injection,it has a side mount throttle body. thanx Bob

i want to put a ls into my 1990 crx HF what changes do i need to make.

you are right. i dont know why we are talking about dpfi to mpfi conversion. if you have an hf, it should be mpfi, so a d16a6 should be almost a direct drop in.

when you say direct bolt in do you mean i can reuse all my wiring?[harness, ecu, distributor] sorry for staying on all these wiring question but were i live i don't have alot of resourses, the guy that will be helping me is a gm guy, so wiring is up to me!

thanx guy really! with all that being said about the d16b6, how much harder would the d15b swap be from a wiring stand point, i will say what i think pleeeease correct me if wrong! obdo to obd1 diffrent ecu [not sure witch one]if anything else please tell me! the d15b more hp and v-tec but if alot harder swap i might pass on it this time and go with your ideas, tell me what you think????? thanx again Bob

thanx man you've been a real help!when looking for zc's i found a dohc and shoc witch is better? i like shoc a little bit better don't know why , the hp is about the same, i'm guessing that aslong as it is a zc from 88-91 it obdo so wiring will not be to hard, correct me if wrong! has anyone on here done this swap with an 88 hf to zc if so how hard is it? what did the zc come out of, if it's a usa motor i'm guessing not thow thanx Bob
