Alright... I had a 1990 integra engine in my 89 si crx, it got rod knock so I put in a different 90 engine but theres one difference it was from a AUTO integra so I put my old ls's flywheel and intake mani on and DIST. and I have spark and fuel but it wont crank all the way on sits there and cranks and cranks.. it started about 5 times I drove it up and down the street and I came back I put the rest of the exuast on and tightend a loose mount and I go to start it and it just sits and cranks again im really confused I still have fuel and spark... the only this I can think of is that I used a 5-speed dist. on a auto engine and they have different timeing curves thats all I can think of any ideas? does anyone know about the differences in these dist. ??? I'v ben working on this stuff for 3 days no other forums have replied, I will pay some one threw pay pal if they can give me the idea to fix this thing no lie! I need to get to work! help me out guys??

-other things about the car-
all 3 sensors in the back are hard wired in
the wiring harness is pretty crappy
the fuel pump is on a switch

Update I put a new dist. on and nothing happend its a auto one too so thats not the problem. timing arrows on the cam gears seemed to be in the right direction to each other.

t started about 5 times I drove it up and down the street and I came back I put the rest of the exuast on and tightend a loose mount and I go to start it and it just sits and cranks again

the fuel pump is on a switch

These two things make me think it might be a fuel issue, but then again, you said it IS getting fuel and spark so....

Can you tell us a little more about the fuel pump being rigged up to a switch?
You should NOT have it on a switch.
Your pump needs to properly prime the system at key points before starting the engine. if you have a lack of fuel(lean) or too much pressure(rich), you could risk detonation or having pre-ignition problems.
*benifit of the doubt you just have it on the main power wire going to the switch to act as a security device?*

Please tell us in detail
-How the switch is actually rigged up
-Why was it rigged up. (what was wrong to make you put it on a switch, or was it just for security?)
-What exactly do you mean when you say, " the wiring harness is pretty crappy?" (loose wires, plugs broken, plugs missing, or it just looks funny... etc)
-What plugs are you referring to when you say, " all 3 sensors in the back are hard wired in?" (there is more than 3 sensors on the back of your motor. oil pressure, water temp/fan switch, IAT, MAP, TPS, EACV, alternator, starter... those are all in the 'back'... so please be more specific.)

Stuff like that.
To help you out as much as possible, we need to know as many details about the connections before we can identify what the issue is.

I found the problem.... code 16 injector so its either my IRB or the wiring for the injectors

What I ment is the 3 on the block right by each other.(pretty much in a row)

I got the car with the switch wired in to the front of the pump, I dunno why, its hidden so mabey so thiefs dont steal the whole car.. no pump no start lol....

harness is like unrapped in places the TPS has the red wire splice so im asuming nitrouse.. its just in rough shape probly get a hoe new crx si harness and be done with it.

start with the basics, check engine timing and make sure all connectors are together and your fuel pump is working,.may be a glogged fuel line or filter, check for loose pins at the ecu, ecu could poss. be intemitantly failing.-check condition of your sparkplug wires....are they going where they are suppost to?...check your sparkplugs-.is there to much fuel? not enough? check spark plug gap........let me know what happens- good luck

so did you get it running or not? I eventually gave up on trying to fix my dx's jacked up riced out wiring, i think the car had every apc part available on it at some point in time. You can always go find a HF wiring harness from the headlights to the taillights, and swap the whole thing out. Thats what i did, its a bitch but you can do it in a weekend if you dedicate yourself.
hf harness plugged right into my b18a
