It's only stupid if it doesn't work

Got pulled over tonight doing 80 in a 65 (going with the flow of traffic). I was keeping to the right and everything. So I give the cop my license, reg., proof of insurance, and an Honor Legion PBA card. Comes back and gives me a written warning for speeding, a ticket for an unclear plate(license plate frame), and doesn't return my PBA card.

I love getting a ticket AND losing a PBA card for something I shouldn't have been pulled over for in the first place.

well, you were breaking the limit, had an illegal object on your plate, and i have no idea what a pba card is... but, yeah, you did the crime, so stop whining.

That's like complaining of losing your gun permit after you get arrested from murdering someone.

lol...
I understand what he is saying though.... he's saying that he shouldn't of got pulled over because he was going the same speed as everyone else... more like he was being singled out.

but that's just tough luck, he had every right to pull you over, just sucks that he chose you over everyone else.

If everyone was doing 120, would he be doing 120 too? That's a BS excuse as far as the cops are concerned. You got singled out because it was your turn.

if everyone jumped off a bridge, would you?????

its the car. you got targetted. you got the fine. its simple as that.

Its a police association card, basically its like a family, close relative, or friend of a police officer thats given a card and its virtually a get out of jail free card. Its like saying, "he's one of my people, so protect him and allow him preferential treatment."

If you're a police officer you get a gold shield as well that sticks to your windshield. Most cops will give it to their wife so if she gets pulled over there's no worries, and he'll just flash his badge if he ever gets pulled over. Family members get pba cards and there's different cards like lamenated and paper cards.

Yes that does suck cause it feels like u got singled out but what can u do he got u fair and square, and for your card that shit usually doesn't work with state troopers, they consider themselves in a whole different class than city cops

Yea that's what I meant. And 80 is the "standard" speed in the fast lane in NJ. It's not like I was going faster than I ussually do. I've never heard of someone being pulled over on an NJ highway for anything under 85. It's funny though because I kept changing into the middle lane to allow people to pass me because they were going faster. Just another case of tuner profiling I guess. It's only like a $60 fine though. I didn't think NJ had a ticket that cheap.

New Jersey has the following issues :

The PBA Card. Nothing is more elitest and full of shit.
No traffic is acceptably travelling at 80+mph. No where in the US.
You should have pulled off your seatbelt. Were asked if you were wearing one ? Yeah ? Should have taken it off and said "No officer" and pa the $35 fine. New Jersey - again, is crooked as shit like that.

Changed in NJ to over $100. I also love the $250 dollar "surcharge" for pleaing down points tickets. A prosecutor has still yet to tell me how that isn't a flat out bribe.

I don't miss NJ...

I think the cheapest ticket I ever got over there was a parking ticket in Seaside for $35.

On a lot of the freeways out here, the speed limit is 75 mph and I haven't seen anyone get pull over doing less then 90 and that's usually because they were being a little reckless at the same time, I do 90 in the far left lanes all day, but I don't have a civic anymore. In the 55 mph areas they usually won't fuck with you until about 75+.

I got nabbed for 67 in a 45, I really didn't know the speed limit and it looked like a freeway (4 one way lanes w/ exit ramps). Somehow I got the cop to reduce it to a 59 in a 45, it was $110 and 2 points.

Yep, just do whatever it takes to keep the most points off your license. Its a big fine, but, what can you do?

I can't talk, I've gotton out of so much shit because my father was the mayor, but still

if you did something wrong and got busted for it the only person you should curse is you...
