I understand that the only shafts that will fit a ZC trans for a 4th generation '91 are specific to the ZC. Is that true? If so, where can I get them. PissedoffSol you made reference to this on an earlier post.
 
to use the ZC transmission (without modifying it) in the 4g Civic, you need the ZC intermediate shaft (only JDM ZC manual trans will work) and 90-93 Integra axles
 
excuse my ignorance here, but "intermediate shaft" - is that the shaft coming out of the transmission that connects to the clutch plate?

no, the cars equipped with the ZC transmission used equal length axles on both sides of the car along with an intermediate axle shaft that bolts to the back of the engine and extends out from the transmission to the end of the axle - like having a 2 piece axle - the ZC intermediate axle shaft looks like this:

Got it - thanks for the help.
Doesn't really sound worth it - from what I understand the ZC trans doesn't do that much for me. I just want a good working 5 speed.
