Hon-daaaa
can anyone answer my question, what is the engine code for a integra lsvtec:D

ls/vtec is made up of 2 different motors

you have alot to learn

a b18a or b block mated with a B16, GSR or type r VTEC head... hence LS/VTEC..

no what i have now is a b18b1 wich is the ls non-vtec, im looking for the engine code to the lsvtec

there is no such thing the ls vtec is a ls block b18a or b18b with a vtec head put on it

i really dont mean to ask stupid questions so i want to apoligize, im new to the scene and i sometimes think i know more than i really do. i figured that the lsvtech motor was one all its own, not pieced together. im sorry for my confusion. if you could help me out i would appreciate it, i want to learn and not look retarded

i told you right here what it was

shit if you wanting to do a ls vtec set up i would go with a gsr head their pimp on that combo strong too i would turbo that bitch right then and their

i was thinking of keeping it n/a but when i changed the head i was gonna try to find a type r head since they can rev higher and withstand higher compression.

no offese, but considering that you didnt even really know what an lsvtec was, i would strongly consider either buying an lsvtec already built and having it professionaly installed, or buy all the parts you need and having it professionally built, theres A LOT more to it then just putting a vtec head on it and calling it a day... but thats just my $.02...

you have alot of research to do

I dont know as much as most people on here, but getting the type-r head is just a waste of money. The head would be able to rev very high but the bottom end wont take that abuse so you might aswell just get the gsr head and build the block and the head. thats my $.02

ok on you tube this guy has a yellow ls/vtec set up seems pretty fast he's got itr(integra type r) pistons and stage 2 skunk 2 cam shafts with a b16 head and that seem like a good set up cause the b16 give you better air flow than the gsr or b18c head i would consider that if you buy the part you could have someone install them for you it's not that hard but like someone said you didn't know what it was but your learning just take that into advice

Just know that airflow differences in the pr3 (b16,itr) and p72 (gsr) are very small. Most people that want to make good power and plan on modifying their heads, i.e. port/polish/chamber work, go with the gsr head, as it is a much better casting, and the combustion chambers yield a slightly higher combustion ratio, good for a bit of power. The b16 is more popular because it is cheaper, and more readily available, and a factory type r intake manifold can be used on it, making it more cheap. The gsr head is definitely the better head.

true but the b16 head has better air flow making your car higher compression it is cheaper but i think you will get better power out of the b16 head rather than the gsr head
