how do you powershift? not to sound like a noob or anything ive just never done it or heard how its done

leave your foot on the floor board hit the clutch shift to your next gear and kiss your engine good bye while you try to let off the clutch before the inevitable happens.

thats gotta take some fast foot movement...i know its possible to shift with out pushing in the clutch...not that you would ever want to do that

but to shift without using the clutch you have to take your foot off the gas. and there are plenty of times youd want to do that, just not on a drag strip. if youre running a road course, for example, instead of heel you can brake pull it out of gear before braking hard blip the throttle, pop it in gear, and still have good exit speed.

You don't have to heel toe when upshifting ;) I was doing it all the time when my knee was injured. Put pressure on the shifter; let off the gas and it'll pop out, put pressure at the gate of what gear you want to engage; and once the revs match up by themselves, it'll pop right in(you have to be quick on the shifter though; if the revs drop too low you'll grind and bog).

I don't power shift, but when I race, I'm more concerned about being quick on the clutch and gas. I use the shift technique described above but I tap the clutch instead of pressing it all the way in.
