I am thinking about getting some exhaust for my '91 Civic Si. I still have the D16A6 in it but am planning on getting a B16 when I can afford it. I would just like to know what brand of exhaust would sound good on the stock engine and with the B16 when I get it. Something that doesn't sound too ricy. I was thinking about Tanabe Super Medalion Hyper and getting Omni Power test pipe. If anyone has any other suggestions let me know please.

I had a Tanabe Super Medallion Hyper on my Z6 CRX. It was in my opinion one of the least ricey sounding exhausts I had ever owned or heard on a 4 Cyl, Hon\Acu. It had more tone to the sound, and the high RPM fall off was perfect. Sounded great IMO.

Sadly, I can't remember the header\cat combination...

i also have a tanbe on my crx d15b vtec its the best sounding exhaust i have ever heard it stays the same pitch through out the rpm range

definitely right about the test pipe. as far as the tone of tanabe exhaust. if that is not a ricey sound, i dont know what is. It might different on a 4th Gen Civic/2nd Gen CRX (seeing as they have that crazy wrap around exhuast) but on 5th and 6th gen civics, 4th and 5th gen Preludes, and 2nd and 3rd Gen Integras, TANABE IS LOUD AND RICEY.
