Well, we're looking to mount/secure a mount system for our cars(I have a CRX, my bro has a GSR) for when we go to the track, but we want to make sure the video quality will be as best as possible.

We want to mount it in between the seats(passenger seat might be out of car, so can't secure anything to it)
I'm just looking to get some ideas.

I had a few ideas...
-strapping down a tripod back there somehow(would be nice, because you could adjust the height/pitch of the cam)
-they thought about making a custom piece, sticking it out from the headrest hole.

what do you guys thing?
I'd love some input!

wear a bike helmet, with a helmet cam :)

Attaching it to the head rest seems like it would work; build a bracket out of wood and clamp it to the headrest metal pole thingy.

or build a feet holder for the tripod; and attach it to the seat rail bolt.

Thats a good idea. I guess the best thing to do is just go out there and mess around... but I figured I'd get some imput until I try anything.

most tracks would trun you away witha tripod tied in or a camcord jut straped in they need to be bolted to a roll cage

my buddy with a miata has this little one id say about and 1" and hes got it on his front bumber where the grill is in the corner

No no, don't worry bout it. Thats a neat idea, but it would be way too windy, and you couldn't hear crap!

Plus if it came undone, it would be shattered into pieces, whereas if it fell out of it's holder in the car, it's not nearly as likely to damage anything... AS bad.

Thanks for posting up anyway!
