Hello
I have an '88 integra LS Special Edition, it has a 1.8 liter in-line 4 DOHC engine, not exactly sure what the engine is, i think the newer models are B18s, the engine has 250,000 miles and just tore up on me, so I've decided to swap it and make a project out of it. I'm gonna need some help though. First off, what engine can I get (affordable) that will bolt up well. The car has all the options (except for the auto tranny of course) Im looking to completely rebuild this hatch. All advice is appreciated
Peace out
Tony J:confused:

Give up and give the car to me.

Where it will recieve an H22A, LSD, all factory body work and interior.

cool

so i could prolly drop an old sohc civic d16 in it? would that be slower than the DOHC in it now?

you want it

if you want it bro you an buy it, ill sell it for $500. it has a broken fuel line and i think it needs a new alternator, but that doesnt matter if you wanted to swap it

not exactly... the d16a1 is a bit of an odd-ball.

the closest match is the 1st gen dohc ZC (d16a8/d16a9)

What?

i just found this site that says there were only 2,500 88 LS SE's made, is there somthing special about my car....besides the "special editon" badge:confused:

I've seen a 1st gen with a B18C in it. That was so nice. And for NA, fast as hell.

The driver's side mount would been fabbed up or just buy one of those from Hasport for like $300.

B18 in a 1988? that would require some serious modification right? cuz my friend has got a totaled mid 90's GSR, could i swap that?
Yea it was featured in a mag when I actually use to have subscriptions.
