ok this thread comes around twice a year. who has finals, and what are you taking?

me:

Intermediate Mechanics of Materials (anticipated grade - B/C)
Intro to Aerodynamics (anticipated grade A)
Incompressible Aerodynamics (andticipated grade C/D)
Analysis of Engr. Systems - F

i just finished up my last 2 today. i felt pretty good about the exams. i was also supposed to take Analysis of Engineering Systems final, but im failing that class and retaking it, so i didnt take the final. i couldnt drop it because i was already at my min credits for full-time.

Since I never took my required math courses until this year, I'm in a way lower level Math class than everyone else at my school.

Finals;
Precalc. (Pass/Fail) Its basically a no credit course, thats what I get for picking a "smart university"

Marketing 371 - Professional Selling. Videotaped roleplays and final. I was supposed to take this on Monday, but there was a conflict with my finals so on 12hours notice I pulled an all nighter and took the test on Weds. I should have pulled down a low A on that final.

Management 310 - Organizational Behavior. Final on Tuesday, essays and multiple choice. I rape that class so that should be not problem.

MIT 310 - Information Systems. Final on Monday, but I think I'm opting out of it since its cumulative.

Those are my finals in a nutshell.

This school gives out an extended workload so the classes are on a 4credit system as opposed to a 3credit system. Basically, they require so much in class and out of class work that each course has been bumped a credit. You take 4classes instead of 5 or 6 so you're able to concentrate on each course and handle the work you're being slammed with.

cool beans, eh? I can't wait for break.

Im all done with mine!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The only real final i had was a World Religions final -- Grade, B+
I had a 2 chapter test in Intro to Psych -- Grade, C ( i suck at tests and thats all this class was except 2 papers)
had to write a 10 page paper for my World Issues class -- Grade B+

My other class, my Internship class il be getting an A. I took two online courses and got B's.

Now... im done forever. I dun be gradimicated!!

The only final I have is the company "Holiday Extravaganza" tomorrow. Open bar! :D

the classes you guys take are NO surprise to me.

Totalburnout in the MIT classes though.. Man, were I you I would stop talking online about getting wasted, hooking up and smoking weed. It WILL come back to get you.

I'm an IT Manager

And Sean in world issues, religions and psych... hahah

I got done with mine on Tuesday!!!! I've been the biggest bum since!

This quarter I had:
Econometrics
Auditing
Management Accounting

I believe all went well.

Took Principles of Marketing and Spanish I on Wednesday. I felt Ok with how I did. I didn't study much.

I have U.S. History until 1865 and TV and Film History on Tuesday. Film will be easy as hell but I'll be studying hard for History, I need a good grade to bring up my GPA.

Why are the classes no surpise to you? They're general requirements for anyone under a business major.

I have smoked weed once since I've been at this school, so you confuse me for others. I would pass any drug test I was given.

My wife passed her ESL classes with A's....and she registers next week for more classes next semester...so that gives me more drinking time on Mondays and Wednesdays....

LAR353 Woody Plant I.D. - Practical - 91% DONE
- Sketchbook - 120% DONE (After an all-nighter)

Took my PLS150 and PLS 200 (Plant Science) exams today, and definately made both of them my bitches. I ended up having an A for the year in my GEO 451 class (Environmental Geology and Soil Science), and didn't have to take the final. Same goes for my LAR210 class (Landscape architecture, construction media and materials). I have one more final on tuesday for LAR201 (landscape planning and survey), and it's going to be a sinch. I'm hopping for 4 A's, and a B. Most of my classes are either 3 or 4 credits, so it should help with the GPA.

also confused, do i come across as an MAE? lol, dont care if i do, its flattering

MIT Information systems is a fucking joke at my school.

I took this quarter.

Intro to Cinema (General University Requirement)
Honors Macroeconomics
Management Accounting
Computer Science XXX (don't remember) but another GUR.

Of all of them, macro was the hardest. Teacher grades on a huge curve. I got a 45/120 on the first exam and that was a B+. On the ther mid-term I got a 61, and well that was over 100% after the curve :) But really I hate it. I take exams, knowing I failed, and still get decent grades. Totally freaks me out.

Split week finals? Mine come all in one week. And History to 1865, is pretty simple. Just make sure you know the party affiliations, all the presidents, lead up to the civil war, etc. It's all memory for HIstory stuff. That's what I love.

We have basically a week off before our finals, that they call reading days.

Most finals start on Thursday/Friday and then the rest are taken Monday/Tuesday.

Weird. The week before finals here is like "dead week" I guess. We have class, but supposedly aren't supposed to have any homework or quizzes/tests. Then Finals week is yeah mon-fri whenever they're scheduled.

werd thats how it is here at WVU. dead week then finals week.

OMG :laughbounce2: :laughbounce2: :rotflmao:

I haven't heard that word in so long, ESL. I remember when I was required to take it, but they kicked me in middle school =(. But I loved it.

Anyway...I guess Im the only science geek here..

Biochemistry (crossing my fingers for a C-, probably a D)
Plant Anatomy (same as above)
Asian American Studies (A, easiest class by far)

Classes are getting harder by the friggin quarter as Im nearing graduating. Hopefully I can tough it out and just get my degree.

We go by the quarter system and summer counts as one but splits in two. So I get to have finals 3 times a year, minimum. Also we only have dead day, the day before final instead of dead week and finals on Saturday  .

Exactly why are you failing any college courses? Unless you found a couple hundred grand in 100s laying on the street or something...

For me I have

-Materials Processing 1 (thermodynamics) Rocked the exam, hoping for high B-A
-Electronic Properties of Materials (hardest class I have ever taken, we did quantum in 4 lectures) If I get a B, I'll be more then happy.
-Stats for Engineers- I apply zero effort, hoping for a B.

-Characterizations of materials. Have no clue, the teacher's grading policy is most unprofessional thing I have ever seen. The teacher will actually grade based on who completed the test vs the answers writen. Me and my roomate studied together, he knew the shit better then I did and he failed, I received a B and after we compared tests, they were almost identical content. Have written a number of complaints to several people. She decided to transfer to UofFlordia and I am thinking about sending a letter to the head of their Materials Engineering department.

as for 2000si Comment, what major are you? Engineering is an extremely hard major, and sometimes you do fail classes. Its a fact of life. It sucks, but you move on. Luckly, knock on wood, I haven't failed any yet but there sometimes are doubts
