Car wobbles while slowing down.

I got a 88 hatch and when I slow down the front end wants to wobble.
Could it be the brakes.Or maybe the axles because they ar popping on turns there wore out.Or could it be the alignment.Or maybe the shocks.It only does the shutter /wobble when I slow down.What might this be.Thanks for your time in this matter

Well I looked at them and they seemed to be nice and smooth perhaps warped.
I haven't taken the time to take a wheel off and check that theroy out yet.

Bad rotors for sure.
Get new rotors and pads and that should fix the problem.

Since you didn't specify what slowing down entailed: If you're hitting the breaks then it's likely the rotors. If you're not hitting the brakes but slowing down then it can be the alignment or less likely unbalanced tires.

yea they are right. but out of balance tires tend to wobble more at a higher speed then while slowing down and as for the brake rotors u wont notice they are warped by eye its thousands fo an inch. good luck.

My bet would be you need to balance your wheels. I had the same problem in my old Sentra. When you are driving does the steering wheel shake? If so that's what I think it is.

i'd agree with the alignment/balancing. It's also a good way to figure out if your wheel bearing is going out. they won't do the alignment if the wheel bearing is worn out.

are you people on cane?!?!?! the only time you would feel an out of balance tire is if you were traveling at a considerable amount of speed. even then the car wouldn't wobble, you would get what's called tire hop. that translates to a vibration in the steering wheel. as for alignment you would ALWAYS feel the car pulling to one side of the road or the other. do not post if you don't know what the hell you are talking about!

Well i just had to get 2 new front tires cuz my alignment was all out of wack. It caused some crazy uneven tire ware which caused the car to rock left and right while cruising at low speeds and slowing down. So you obviously dont know what the hell you are talking about.

Noob?!?!? Obviously your the noob. It was toe out which caused inner tire ware. My camber is straight. The guys at the shop told me that the camber was good. I obviously had my alignment done to go ahead and buy 2 new tires. Im not fuckin stupid and im sure they aren't either since they do it every day.

bad toe causes a feathring effect on the tire. bad camber more accuratly negative camber causes inner tire wear.
