sick ass engine swaps

Here are a few questions to help you determine if this project is over your head:

1.) Do you change your own oil?

2.) Your own wiper fluid?

3.) Flat tires?

4.) Spark Plugs?

If you answered no to any of the above than you should avoid a "sick ass engine swap" at all costs.

uh well the issue is that a honda is an invers motor and drivetrain, and FWD. Last I checked that meant no tranny tunnel or driveshaft tunnel. So now you want to cut out half the firewall, and floor. Why ?do you have any fab skills? do you have a tape measure have you even measured the thing to see if it will fit under the hood

just a question, if you wanted something lightweight.....why do you want a coupe, why not a hatchback?

^^^^ why not a coupe
the weight diference between the 4 dr 2 dr and hatch are all fucking comparable, and guess what. 200lbs is not that much. so of the three any will do so pick what you like. but why go awd civic. unless if you can basicaly build a car from scratch and are a master fabricator, you probably will get in over your head, and end up wasteing a ton of money... but go for it.. would be a great learning experiance, expensive but great

I appreciate all of your input. I do realize this is going to be expensive. If I wanted to get an STI or an Evo I'd get one. I know this cant be the first time this has been though up, but it will be rare. I would love to have 4WD but I didnt think about having to cut out room for the drive train. This is my first FWD car. Be easy on me fellas. Keep coming with the advice. I plan on going to JE Imports in Baltimore for this.

ha where you live. i work by there some times...

if you really want this done, just drop it off at a shop and hand them a big sweaty wad of cash. nobody will do this swap for you without paying up front. odds are, they still wont want to do it. it will take to long and they probably haven't done it before.

this site is full of tuners and enthusiasts. you need someone who has the time/money/patience to do it.

i hate to crush you ideas, but we aren't being mean because we are all dicks. we are being mean because a thousand people before you have asked the same question. nobody ever does it so we just talk shit. get it done and show us the bill. we would love to see it.

I want to see pictures of an sr20 in a civic. Anything is possible with fabrications. I want to put a Nissan Pulsar GTiR SR20DET in my 95 Civic coupe. (4WD drivetrain as well) I know this is sacrelge to all you honda boys. I'm a Nissan lover at heart but need something light weight for road racing. I still cant get used to this FWD. If you have any pics please send them to me xxxcreepshow@gmail.com

The only time I have ever seen anything closely related to this was the AWD system from a CRV in a civic sedan. and that in itself was an incredible amount of work and fab.. they used a built b20 vtec. Funny thing is, it only ran mid 14's :D.. imo this is a waste of time and money, unless you have an incredible amount of time and drive to finish it.
But hey, if you do finish it, i'd like to see pics :)

not exactly what you want but they put sr20's in fwd sentra's so im sure if you check out some of those swaps you could figure out how to do it to your car or better yet just do it to a sentra then its lights and gotta nice motor.
