Im trying to figure out some ways to give my crx an old school flavor, its still the original teal color from 91 and its currently got 16x7 konig remembers in black and silver on it. Ill post up some pics in a few, but im looking for some more old school style cars to give me inspiration.. I dont see many around here.
thanks guys

91 is old school in the terms of modern day hondas, i dont think anyone can really argue that. I know its not a 74 sumthin or rather but it is old as F.
Perhaps i should rephrase what im lookin for.
Think back to the original tuners and what they were doing, they didnt have body parts to bolt on and all the fun toys we have today, if anyone has something like that, thats what i would like to see... I want this crx to represent what a real honda tuner car should look like, no body kit, no chrome wheels, no ricer wheels and no wild paint jobs. Just clean stock lines, and reliable performance to make people double take at how clean the car is.
so hook it up fellas.

This guys car is serving as a model for mine to aspire to, Old school style. He did this car the right way, not too old and not too new. This one is my definition of old school cool. Ive been focusing on this car for a while tho and i dont want to wind up copying someone elses ride, so thats why im lookin for something else along the same lines to spark my imagination back up.

that crx is old thats for sure, but it has new school looking rims and just looks rice. No offense to whoevers car it is, im just not feelin it.

:suprised:

Same color rims ? How much more 1987 can you get ? Also, over the past few years I've grown into a huge fan of the resto-mod thing. Taking older styling cues and making them modern size / stance. Right now I'm taking my 76 Vega and doing the same - 17" rims, larger brakes, more fiberglass than chrome, upgraded electrical and some interior cues from today (like a radio that doesn't have 2 shafts)

If you want early modding days, you'll need garden trim, Mugen CF14s (Talk to Airjockie) and dual-tip Ansa muffler. Get the universal side skirts and JDM wing. That's about it that's period for that car.

jdm front bumper, cc hood, black wing, 15 inch black wheels, and some side markers.. he did it the "jaydeemm" way. So you want something to look jdm then huh?

dont worry Cel, I (as much as i hate anything larger than 16 on a Honda) think it looks good, although that rear end needs to come down. ^_^

That car is the ultimate of old school sekts. HKS turbo kit and digital dash? CF-48's with Aero covers? UKDM corners?

Someone get me a towel.
