so i bought a old nissan frontier ( low rider style) for my commuter work truck, or so i thought. Now i want to go crazy on it. Im planning to swap a RB25DET skyline engine into it. It will be an extensive as well as expensive undertaking but im psyched. The swap with tranny and ecu is only about 2300 from jdm online, so i think im going to go for it. What do you guys think?? Im pretty sure it will be sick.:D

for clairty it is a frontier sorry about that

sounds like a badass plan. check around over on nissanminis.com. they should help you alot over there with any questions concerning your fronty.

got pics of your fronty? and there not lowriders...they are minitrucks.

no pics yet, its just a bone stock burgandy 2wd I honestly dont think it will be too bad. It looks like the motor will go in fine, the tranny will be a bitch because alot of metal work will need to be cut out to make it fit. Ill also need mounts for it and so forth, but i think regular skyline mounts can be welded to the frame of the truck, its pretty close so i need to take more measurements.
thanks for the info on the mini truck site

minitruckin rules, i had a road scrappin 88 toyota pickup for a while, midnight blue with some bigass momo chrome 17s on it , damn it was slick

I saw a 7MGTE in a 2WD Toyota truck before, talk about a tight squeeze. The fans were removed and the radiator was relocated forward. Electric fans were touching the front grill. Overheating was a problem.

i saw a guy with a supra engine in a tacoma a few years back, he was in minitruckin magazine.. Dude used to run down porsche's in a tacoma haha

The RB25 will fit with some shoehorning, but it's not too bad. The guys at NissanMinis won't be too much help.

i hope it goes in semi easily, im making a huge parts/material list at the moment so i can avoid spending all the money i have haha

You would still have an easier time building up and turbocharging the KA24DE... only .1 liters less, but all the parts are available stateside as well as the tuning parts.

the ka blows. if you got the time and cash, go for the rb25. when you're bored of it, talk to me... i may by that off you some time in the future :p

ryan, check the link in my sig.

its the new hottness for nissans on the pacific coast.

Brian... don't talk about what you don't know. The only bad part of a KA is the headflow and because of boost you can easily get around that.

and the stroke.
yea.... a stroke... what easily spools the turbo and makes more power and more torque and what resists detonation.

I understand why you want an SR.

Sweet revs with no torque behind it......... wait, I am on a honda site..... go figure.
