Why not?
Hello, im new to the forum. I wanted to know if anyone could tell me what is necessary to put a B18A1 ls integra head on a B20Z block. I know the block will bolt into the chassis with no problems, chassis being a 92 integra ls, but just wondering it there are any other situations i may run into. like if the head bolts are the same, altenator position, ac position and ps pump location. If anyone can give light to the situation i would appreiciate it. Yes i know it is unusual to ask on this swap but it seems easy and cheap to do. thanks

why would you want to do this swap anyways? i don't get it. if you want to add power, get an obd0 vtec head and slap on to the b20 block, or just put the whole b20 in there and not change the heads around. save yourself some time and money.

Im not intrested in doing the work for vtec, but i am intrested in the torque the b20 will give me from the start. the research i have done shows that with mild tunning, headers, intake, blox manifold and stage 2 brian crower cams. u can make around 190hp and 160tq at the wheels. thats to fun and simple.

Dude bolt the motherfucking VTEC head on.
Wire up a RPM sensative swith to activate VTEC.
And be done with the bitch!!!

Im not asking for other ways to upgrade my car, im only asking if anyone knows how to do this hybrid swap and what is needed. please

i understand that u r only trying to set me on at path that has proven hp, but i dont walk the line everyone else does, no offense. if i had the money i would put a b16 in it. but i dont. so im trying to go a method that will require little mods and instant tire burning.

yep, you don't have money and you want to burn tires. you're an idiot.

don't even fuck with a swap if you don't have any money. it will cost you more in the long run to do what you want than just get an obd-0 b16. b16's are dirt cheap. plus, you will have reliability issues with this swap that you want to bad. save your money and call it good.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Im sorry jdm slut, i didnt know the honda fans started swapping f22 rearwheel drive transplants in front wheel drive hondas. im looking for a swap that will take a weekend not the entire year frabricating engine mounts and making custom made driveshafts. really is it that hard to understand what i want to do. just build a mildly moded teg with a 2.0 torque monster and have the ability to brake the block or head and not take a hit for it when i need to buy anotherone. thanks

its not that i dont have money its that its going to another project that eats it up, the integra is a daily driver that is still want to get good gas miles with and not have to have it down to long trying to upgrade to a more extensive swap.

the b16 came originally in the integra xsi, thats why i would want to do it, for the genuine jdm feel good.
no, the b16 originally came in crx's in japan. if it's your daily driver leave it stock. no need to race to work or school or whatever. i have a swapped and turbo'd 240sx as a "fun" car. my 1994 ex coupe is bone fucking stock. and will stay that way.

im not going to change my mind about the swap, thats not why i joined this forum. i joined to see if anyone could help me, not argue my point. If u dont no the answer than dont down the idea. But if you have any info please let me know.

all you have to do is bolt it up. keep the b-series mounts and swap the heads. upgrade the headgasket while it's out and put in a new waterpump and timing belt. have fun.

just put the whole b20 in there and not change the heads around. save yourself some time and money.

Just pull your B18 and drop in the B20. Problem solved, end of story.
i mentioned this already. he's dead set on this dumbass "hybrid" swap. doesn't make sense to me, but whatever. not my money or car.
