And yes the crust does taste just like a restaurants. Just check out that bottom. MMmmmmmmm =)

My father makes his own dough... oh my god his pizza is the shiz nittle bam zip zap snap!!!

Pizza is one thing i want to master.

:withstupid: about the mastering pizza thing.

Start working on it, pizza really is like 90% what you cook with.
I work at a major pizza place that has a pizza that is way different then anything else out there, nothing like the recipe I posted, anywho, if I take our dough, sauce, and cheese from there and cook it at home using normal pans, it turns out tasting like home made pizza.

If you use a cast iron skillet like in the DYI, you can use most any basic dough recipe and it should turn out better then most any other home made pizza.

shit, just the dough alone with some olive oil on it taste great. toast it up on that skillet and eat it straight up.

master the clitza first. then... pizza.

i should show you my tortilla bruschetta... it's quite good. and fast, and cheap, and easy. lots like the local corner hoes.

my father uses pizza stones. Apparently, they are the shit, or so im told.

I am the master of the clit Remember this fucking face. Whenever you see clit you'll see this fucking face. I make that shit work. It does whatever the fuck I tell it to. No one rules the clit like me. Not this little fuck, none of you little fucks out there. I AM THE CLIT COMMANDER!!

Post it up on the site, I really enjoy a bruschetta I make using a tomato basil topping with fresh cheeses.

Another one of those recipes I need to post up.

Pizza stones are fine, but so are pieces of tile.

Pizza stone = 14.99-24.99
tile = .99c

both hold heat as good as each other.

Tile > pizza stone.

it's just tomatoes (diced), olive oil, basil (or italian seasoning if you prefer) and toasted tortillas... instead of bread. bake in a 350 oven for 7 to 10 mins. crisp. hot. tasty.

you should do Macaroni and Cheese. the REAL way. baked ftw

A good portion of the country doesn't know what good pizza is. The best pizza you will every consume is at any of the places a few blocks from Yankee Stadium. I go to school in South Jersey now, 2 hours from NYC, and they think dough with marinara sauce sprinkled with mozzarella cheese is pizza. Fucking amateurs. But Jeffie's looks real good for homemade.

You should know this from now, the further you get away from the coast and NYC, the less like pizza, pizza becomes.

My uncle moved from New Jersey out to Montana back in his college days where he's now built a succesful life for himself. He couldn't believe the stuff they call pizza out there, but hey - they don't have real italians to make real pizza.

Chicago is supposed to be the next best thing after NYC, but thats a different style pizza made from peoples of a different immediate origin than the ones in NYC.

Homemade italian pizza is usually real, real thin crust unlike the pizza you buy in a parlor. My neighbor who was straight off the boat used to make it for us and you couldn't even fold the pizza up, it would flop in half but it was great.

Another tidbit, places like Greece, have their "plain" pizza come with no cheese, and with olives and some meat. You have to specify you want cheese and no olives or meat, if you want to order our "plain" pizza over in Greece.

Shit when I do mac and cheese that way people out here look at me like wtf are you doing

I went to New York in 2001 the pizza was awsome.

Damn the closest thing to good pizza out here in utah is papa jhons. But it looks like little ceasars pizza only you take it home and bake it.

New York hole-in-the-wall-rundown-corner pizzarias are the shit. I got to nyc about 5-8 times a year and there is one pizza place in Yonkers that is THE MOTHAFUCKIN SHIZZNIT! But ill agree, nyc pizza is the best, and def the further out of nyc you get the less nyc it gets... well except this one place.. Ill admit, there are some good pizza places in burlington, but none like reallll nyc pizza.

NYC pizza > Chicago chunky poo poo pizza.

Papa John's is not good pizza, you just lost all credability in this thread.

we got a few family owned businesses here and the pizza is killer compared to these big name places that are advertised on TV and shit.. .. there is a places called Rosas too, the bomb italian food there.. expensive though

LOL I have to agree.

I'm personally biased towards East of Chicago. You'll only find it in parts of Indiana/Ohio and lower Michigan towns though.

All foods are regionally based, so that the farther you go away, the worse it becomes.

If you have Clam Chowder in Boston, you'll never eat it anywhere else (Well, I mean, you CAN make it). Corn chowder in PA, Escargot in New Orleans, Mexican in Texas, Lobster in Maine.

NYC Pizza is pretty famous, and Chicago is too - But I bet that only Total and Slush will get this one....

Taylor Ham sandwiches.
