My problem is that the car starts sputtering (stalling! wont go any more) when I hit about 5-6psi of boost! I'm running D16z6 with a t3/t04e turbo (10psi) with DSM 450cc injectors managed with crome. The car runs fine, idles great, runs well in low load but starts stalling in 5-6psi of boost no matter in what rpm (low or high). Anyone has had this problem? I know it can't be the crome because when I was running the vafc hack it kind of did the same problem! I also changed the map sensor and still problems there! Can anyone help me?? Thanks!!

Hey just noticed your from HI.
Me too
KAHUKU
But live in Utah now.

Do you have a wideband? Is it just loading up on fuel when you lean into the throttle?

Well we tried street tuning it with crome pro with lm-1 wideband but it looks like it riches up then when it starts to stall, it leans out and kind of riches up again! so I let off the throttle! feels like its hitting rev limit!

Goto the point in your map where this happens, lets say 5psi and 3K rpm. Click that cell then click on graph and look at the 3d map. Is that area way low or high?

ALSO, where is you closed loop cutoff set at? Are you getting into boost before you hit open loop mode?

Well I believe its set in open loop! Doens't matter on what rpm, it does it at any rpm when it hits 5psi! The 3d is pretty smooth! Since it does it any time it hit around 5psi the graph after we did the adjustment it looked pretty messed up! So I'm just running a bin map that I got from xenon for now till I find the problem! I think its something to do with my ignition (spark plugs or distrubitor)!? What plugs should I run??

I have issues where the chip just didnt burn right and the car ran VERY strange. I had issues where it would not kick over to open loop mode at all, it kept doing the flicker aroun 14.7

did you read my post?!?! also go to napa and get ngk's one heat range cooler. i'll look for the part#once you see if the gap is right.

Im running NGK iridiums 1 range colder in my jrsc gsr due to the same issue, sputtering over 4600rpm at 6 lbs, changed the plugs and now everythign is good.

Yeah I just changed my plugs from NGK 2975 (ZFR7F11) to NGK 1283 (BKR7E11) and the problem occurs a bit earlier now. What spark plugs should I run??

get that shit to a dyno or at least some one that knows how to tune it could be tomuch.notenuff fuel or a timming prob cant say with out being there and listening to the car

the more open they are the better. but you could start out at 20 and see if that is the problem. if it is then work your way up.

Never had a problem...

Good luck!
