I'm pretty confused by that story. If they moved out of the school district how are they getting a ride on the bus still?

None the less, telling them they cant ride because they speak english is fucked up.

I'm in charge of a book donation for my office this year. Just last week I felt it would be kind of neat to donate a portion of the books to my old grade school, so I called the principal to set things up. I found that the voicemail system they have now defaults to Spanish, letting you press 2 for English as a secondary option.

Didn't affect my donation or anything, but I found it odd.

Welcome to Amerimexica.

Just a few years ago if you told me, or anyone, that something like this would happen - we would NEVER believe you.

But as I predicted, our kids will one day get kicked off the bus for not being Muslim.

Mark my words. In fact, add that tag to this thread - Celerity, mark my words

Perhaps you don't quite get it.

He wasn't tossed off the bus because it wasn't going his way. He was kicked off the bus because he didn't speak english.

Damn son, do we need to buy you eyeglasses ?

How is it that you are ALWAYS right?

That was, of course, sarcasm. Every other post is "I told you so" when really you say shit that is so vague, it can be interpreted in many different ways. You shall now be referred to as Nostradamus.

WTF?

Getting kicked off a bus cause they speak english, We live in America. I hope its not a public government funded school. Because thats gotta be a violation of some kind of right.

Cummon what the hell, you still should not be kicking children off a bus for that reason "There children".

sounds like a miscommunication to me. The kids got refused from the bus because it wasn't going to their school, and it just so happened that the school bus was for non english speaking kids... big whoop. It looks like just a big misunderstanding made by the school district and this family. I guess the family didnt read the update (if tehre was one at all), but shit.. i needed a note signed by my mom to get a ride to the next town over with a friend... and we all spoke english.

So the big deal over this whole thing is that the school district didnt communicate to the parents... who fucking cares?? It just so happens that the school bus was ment for non english talking kids going to the english-as-a-2nd-language school...
