The Riced Sleeper
So I had to do a 98 front end conversion on my 2000 si cause the slr fenders I got were the wrong year and I had to sell a lot of my oem parts to pay for my new tranny.
Notice the fenders say 99-00 but they really aren't

so you did a whole conversion just because of your fender didnt fit?
Yep, couldn't be driving round with fenders that didn't fit right, and then after I did the conversion I found the same fenders in metal like I originally wanted for the 2000 so as soon as I get the new body kit I will be converting back

sorry let me get this straight.. your fender didnt fit, so you bought a 96 hood, bumper, fender, lights, and hood... all because you didnt have a single 99 fender. and then when you do get the fender, youll put your stuff back on???

why, for the love of god, didnt you just go find another 99 fender?

What the hell..............why didnt you just send them back and wait for the right fenders.
Patiance is a virtue!

You just wasted your time and money converting to a 98 front end, then converting back when you get your body kit.

And why the hell do you need a body kit? Stay stock or go lip.

what a waste of money...
There was no money involved

Stop jumping the gun: I will explain what I mean at the end of this

Here we go again

flame-on Wayne! flame-on Garth!!

I got the extinguisher for this shit

Again there was no money and two because it's my car and I want a simple body kit. I will do whatever I want to it, I don't tell no one what to do to their cars even if I think it looks like shit so I would expect the same from everyone else. Everyone has their own taste, while i'm not one of these extreme ricers with the overly huge and ugly kits and wings I do believe in the mild kits for show, I believe in both show and go and that's what my ride is gonna be setup for when I'm completely done with it.

body kits make cars go faster.

Yea u didn't know, :) lol

Yeah I know..............LMAO
I think it gives you like a gain of 25hp.

Naw it's like 28whp

No dude its a "BODY KIT" it gives you 25hp no matter where your going or what your doing.
Hahahahahaha

Yeah u gotta calculate the aerodynamics

Anyways all joking aside, If ya'll had read my original post COMPLETELY before jumping the gun you would've seen that I said, I had to sell my oem fenders and some other OEM parts to pay for my new tranny, hence the reason I had to put on the slr fenders right away. Upon doing so, I realized they were the wrong year fenders, and seeing as I bought them from my boy's shop almost a year ago and just had them sitting in my garage I wasn't about to try to take them back and make a big deal about them especially since I only paid $100 for them and they retail for almost $300 especially with all the deep discounts I get on perfermonce parts from my boy.

I have a boy with a 98ex that was looking at buying a 2000 front end the same, one I sold my fenders, taillights, and headlights to so instead of having him pay for a new front end I figured i'd help him out and just do a straight up swap that way he get's his 2000 front, I don't have to drive around with a real fucked up looking front end and when I buy my body kit I can still sell the 98 front end.

I was going to stick with the 98 front end because the fenders that are on now, I originally wanted in metal but couldn't find them for my year (2000) but I did find them for 96-98, then the very same night after doing the conversion I decided to check ebay as I've never shopped on there before and lo and behold I found the fenders I wanted metal and 99-00 so I decided what the hell might as well convert the front end back .

It's a lot of work just to have something on there, but if you needed the fenders on and you didn't have to shell out any extra cash, that's good.

i thought there was money involved, as in you spending hundreds just so your fender lined up.

btw, i did read it completely, and i re-read it a few times. You need to elaborate a little more, then this whole confusion thing would have never happened. :D anywho, goodluck with the whole thing!
