I have a 91 crx with a 91 teggy b18a with a ys1 tranny. I want to build a 300 horse motor, its just my goal.

Im not sure what i can do to most easily reach this goal.

Turbo kit? If so what do i need to do this right the first time.

lsvtec all motor? What will i need

anyones help would really be appreciated. I dont want to spend tons of money over and over, i want to build it one time, RIGHT the first time.
please be as specific as possible
thanks in advance.

also if this helps, the car is not my daily driver, so i dont care if its getting 30 mpg or the idle lopes, just so long as its manageable.

i figured as much, what would be my best way to build a reliable turbo setup for that sort of power?

A t04e 57trim cold side is going to be your cheapest turbo that will make the power within the compressor's efficiency islands. I'd go with a t04e 60 trim compressor with a .63 A/R t3 hotside. A gt28rs might get you there alright, but it will spool a bit faster, so you'll likely make more power under the curve with it, but if you are looking for an inexpensive way, just go with the hybrid t04e/t3 snails I listed, and, combined with the right support components and tuning, you'll easily hit your goal without overworking the turbo.

exactly the GT2871r is going to be in my LS turbo setup. Those turbos are good for the 1.8-2.2 liter range.

i would go with something alittle bigger then gt28. i mean if you dont plan on wanting more power go for it but there not cheap to just upgrade.

im building an ls turbo, after all my research i've decided on a t3/t4 (from garrett), mainly because u will still get a decent spool time and has a wide power range (good for 300-550hp)
