ok i have the computer that came with the b16a engine and wired up the the 4 wires that needs wired up everything is working fine i have spark the motor is turning over fine the fuel pump is pumping gas but the injectors are not working i checked the injector resistor box by taking the one off my prelude and stuck it on and still didnt work i checked all my fuses they are all good!!! but still no gas is going into my cilinder. i dont know what else to do can anyone shine a light on my problem here plez! thanx much!!

are the injectors even shooting out fuel? They could just be bad. I know it sounds like a long shot but that has happened to me before when I put a ZC into a friend's car. The motor came with crapped out injectors.

ok i am going to try these both tommara with my luck its probly both are messed up the wireing and the injectors so i will try it out and let ya know if it works
Thanks for the reaply

Well before you take the injectors out to see if its shooting fuel. Try to find a stethoscope for automobiles. It looks just like a doctors one but it has a metal needle looking thing on the end. You put it on the injector and listen for the fuel shooting.

But take the easiest way first: the test light on the injector plugs.

a test light will only show if they are getting a pulse/power, it won't be able to tell you if the injector is clogged.

Mike, You didn't touch the wiring for the injectors did you? All you needed to wire in was Vtec, Knock, and 2nd o2 so i'm leaning towards the injectors just being crap.

ok im going to check today but no i didnt touch the wireing to the injectors so they should be good i got my tester here and i will try her out!

Well I meant take the easiest approach first wihich would be the test light to check for power. Instead of pulling them out to see if its shooting.

ok i tested the wireing with a light tester and the light came on so i took the fuel rail off and pulled the injectors off and looked at the tip of the injectors and they were dry but the fuel rail was full of gas so i am guessing that the injectors are bad but do tell me what are the odds of all 4 of them being bad at the same time?

you can use LS injectors if you need, but if you got fuel in the rail and the injectors still arent working, check each fuel injector wire going to the ecu, Honda PGM-FI has the injectors powered all the time, the ecu grounds the circuit to open the injector, thats why your test light lit up because they have power when ever the key is on.

ok i havnt bout any new injectors yet but lets say i put them in and the same problem happens is it possible that my fuel presure regulator is bad and not putting enouph pressure for the injectors 2 work??

even if the regulator was bad there should still be enough pressure in the system to shoot some fuel, maby not enough, but some.

OK every one i got it i think the whole problem was the ecu was not bolted in i had it out doing th wireing but i bolted that in and started it with a lil starting flued and it fired and kept on running!!! thank you everyone for your help!!!! i will still be sitting there just looking at it if it wasnt for you all again thanks!!! YAY!!
~MIKE~

having the ECU bolted down or not does not make a differance, if you bolted it down and it ran it may be because some of your wiring connections are bad and you temporarily fixed the problem by moving the wiring around

Maybe the ECU needs to be gounded to the unibody?

~Brian

hmmm maybe your right i will recheck my wireing see if it is a problem but that shouldnt have anything to do with the injectors though right?

Injector Cleaning

Is there a DIY way to clean your injectors without them being installed..? What I mean is, a way to clean them without something in a can, as in soaking them in some solution or likewise..?
