Thats means you can also get rid of the power steering fluid resevoir.

Right...spoken like true ricers...a cold air intake will make up for the amount of power loss from the accessories. A/C pump only uses power when the A/C is on, and abs doesn't drag on anything. Although I'm not an advocate of ABS on the track, it's all but necessary for 99% of drivers on public roads. If you disconnect your ps pump, you are still going to need a reservoir for the fluid to drain into as the rack moves back and forth. But you add next to no power by removing the power steering. People remove all that stuff from their track vehicles to lighten it up and make changing out the engine easier. I call what you are doing RICE, just as rice as any nonfunctional 'aero' body kit or rear spoiler. Especially on a daily driver, I recommend leaving the luxuries, and just get your engine to make more power by other means.

I wasnt telling him to get rid of his abs, thats just dumb for a dd. But, as far as power steering goes if he wants to get rid of it let him go but
i didnt know that the resevoir had to stay. On my car I have the ac and power steering. Its not something I acre about to strip my car down.

Where did you think the fluid was gonna go? If you want to get rid of power steering, do it the right way, and remove ALL the power steering equipment, including the rack, and use a 89-91 Civic non-powered rack, and get a Quaiffe gear set for it. That will get rid of about 50 lb of weight of your car. But non-powered racks are a pain in the parking lot.

lol i dont want to get rid of the stuff because i think it makes power... i know it doesnt. i want to clean up my engine bay and think abs is ugly, p/s would stay

I have seen some people get rid of their abs, BUT, in NY if your car came with ABS and you remove it it can potentially fail inspection.
I am all for getting rid of abs, it can be a pain as much as it can be a blessing, it all depends on if you know how to drive a vehicle without ABS and be able to stop your car if you are going to get into an accident.
Vehicles with abs actually take longer to stop than a car without it. ABS is use d to control the vehicle diring a sudden/hard braking situation so that you are able to steer the car instead of having the brakes lock up and just slide regardless of steering position.
If you know how to drive your car without ABS, how to stop in the case of an accident and know how your car is going to react when you slam the brakes, then remove the ABS, if you have never driven a car without abs, don't know how the car is going to react, are a new driver or are prone to accidents, then leave it in.
My GSR is the first car I have ever owned with ABS and I hate it, but it is a pain to remove it because you have to put in all new brake lines, and then remove the abs light.
It all depends on what you want to do, and how you are going to drive the car.
If all you ant to get rid of it is because it is ugly, then do what we all do when we are faced with such a situation with an ugly bitch, throw a bag over her head.

That thing you have circled is the cruise control unit.
It can be removed if you don't use your cruise, or if it is broken. 3 bolts, 1 plug and 1 cable attached to the pedal.

I only have a pic of a removed abs unit, it is about 10 inches long, 7 inches wide and about 6 inches tall, I don't feel like going out to my car and taking a pic, its too cold out.
