...whats stupid is they go and build this thing, but put the SE-R name back on the (new generation) Sentra...which is really ugly

:werd: i was thinking the same thing mike.

there's currently an SE-R altima... nothing new there

thats what I mean..right now the SE-R is an Altima...next year when this comes out, the SE-R name/option is going back on the Sentra

Im sure they'll do an SE-R package of it.

Other then price the new Altima SER is a very very nice car.
again other then price.

I was thinking they should stop making half assed attempts at BULLSHIT cars.

Build the 4door race car again... this Se-r BS altima fuckstick is the worst attempt at anything. The SE 3.5 is faster and more comfortable.....

Build a Z that will out run a base corvette again in any situation

Build another fairlady roadster that OWNS all other roadsters.... AGAIN!

Build an econobox that will be exactly that, instead of this bullshit 2600lb wagonoid flop of a shitbox with the worlds worst engine.

Stop building fucked up rebadged versions of other peoples shit and trying to make it look better..... the aveo is adisgusting piece of shit... then you go and build the versa... and the world was actually left SPEECHLESS at how ugly and pitiful that design was.

Start producing quality cars again.... or stop producing cars altogether.

haha... the only thing I have liked out of the nissan/infiniti lineup is the SE-R Altima, the G35 coupe and sedan, and the Murano and whatever the infinti version of the Murano.

I dont think the FX is the infiniti version, its a totally different suv. I think it uses the maxima platform while the fx uses the g35/350z platform.

They need to build the z up a bit more since the altima ser will give it a good run for its money.

NissanNinja is joining my crew - The auto industry died completely in 1991. It started hacking and wheezing in 1989. The 2nd gen Maxima started the "4 door sports car" revolution, and to it's impact in 1987, nothing has come close. The 2nd gen Maxima was the world's Saloon car, finally have something to make the British scared. Rebadging was something that Japan promised never todo, the moment they did it happened. Japan was given British dies after WWII, and then in 1983 were licencing designs to the exact companies they were allowed to steal from.

The American retro-fad has to hit Japan. Imagine the Celica back, in it's aggressive RWD styling from the 70s. Then imagine them taking that design, and adding a monster under the hood, some styling differences, and giving the world the Supra again. This Z is surely neat, but they could remake the original dies and make the Z as it was in the 70s - like what Ford did to the GT40. Give us a RWD sport compact, and a FWD that's pretty similar (Tercel / Starlet paradigm). Make the Corolla in 7 completely different styles each year. And for shit's sake, the pre 1989 Toyota truck was the best pickup in history - stop trying to move away from it !

The first gen Pathfinder, the 4runner, all successes not because of their cushyness and amenities - but because they were dead reliable and tough as hell. You still can't kill them. (I've got 150k on my $100 pathfinder now)

Could you imagine if they went back to those designs, only with newer rust-fighting techniques ?

Died in 1991?

...I mean I loved the CRX too, but c'mon...most of the "import supercars" were from the mid 90's

90-96: Z32 300ZX
93-95: FD3S RX-7
93-98: MKIV Supra

-and to an extent, the 3000GT

/me builds a castle from his own vomit

Those cars are the reason the modern Sports car is such a bore. Well, the Z32 is nice, but the FD is nothing in heart, soul, and balance that the FC is, the 4th gen Supra is a soft, mushy tub compared to Supras of yesteryear. The 3000GT was prohibitively expensive, and wound like a swiss watch - you hit a curb in it's 4WS/AWD/Turbo config and the car would never be the same again.

The MR2 was a bastion of cool design, if not for the fact that it was a direct rip off of the Ferrari 355. The first Gen MR2, however, was 25 years ahead of it's time.

I dunno

I think the FD wins hands down....then you've got the 255hp vs 200hp with almost the same curb weight (the lightest FC was 2800, the 2+2 was 2888 and the conv. was over 3k lbs. The FD weighed 2826 lbs)

Don't get me started on the Supra. We all loved fender flares, but no one misses pop-up headlights

I LOVE popup headlights. You haters can hate all you want, that leaves more for me.

MR2 ,RX7, 2nd/3rd gen Supras, Lotus Esprits, Porsche slantnose conversions, Ferrari / Lamborghini, That huge list compared to .. what now.. mitsubishi blah blah or Subaru Whatevers ?

I think I know what really happened to the maxima... it got old and fat and became the Q45.

The Toyota trucks of yesteryear are some of the greatest automotive marvels to have ever existed. 22r 5spd.... itll never die. And if they had rust prevention... DEAR JESUS!

I somewhat agree.... thought I do believe the only RX7 I would ever have would be an FB... pop-ups > *.

the 300zx... I will hold a special place in my heart for the Z32, but damn I wish they weren't the worlds biggest pigs.

MK4 supras.... to hell with that. I don't care who can make what do what... fuck those cars.

And a 3000gt... never....ever....ever....EVER would I even think of them being anything worth owning.

I think it all ended in 1996 when Nissan said good bye to the US Fairlady.

the 1st gen Mr2 is the seasoned conditioned veteran than the 2nd gen wishes it would have become.
pop up headlights FTMFLMF!!
NEVAR!!!!

I will be there with you... lovin on the popups.

I think that as we move foward as a culture and as the human race..... cars will become less and less what we dreamed about as children and will become more of what we just have and sometimes get to have fun with.
