Go fast, Go Cheap
Check out my downpipe, i guess this is called a whitey bend (from homemadeturbo) and the manifold all finished, i decided to route the wastegate back into the exhaust so it would pass inspection, thank god all we have around here is a visual imspection. I also made the that wacky 7 bolt flange that attaches to the turbo, it blocks off the stock wastegate.

your car is hating you right now...

1000th post

isn't going to change the flow characteristics, already grinded the inside, i don't mind if it looks bad, less time killing my ears with an air powered die grinder.

Turn the wirespeed on your welder down a tad, it will make your welds look a LOT cleaner. But I guess you're already done so it doesn't matter much.
As long as nothing leaks, I say it looks great

that is true, i like how it looks shows ingenuity and craftsmenship, doesn't need to look pretty to go fast and it'll function the way i intended

THe welds look like crap. BUt who cares. Just make sure it doesnt leak

Great job making your own dp. LOW BUDGET STYLE...i like that:worthy:

Good luck with your project.

Grind that shit down man. The functional budget looks is fine, but you're pushing it here

When are you going to install all the new parts?

fuck grinding it down, i dont really bother unless i think something is going to leak, then i can weld over it! ahaha!

+1 for home grown ingenuity, regardless of what it looks like.

i got and installed the turbo rebuild kit, so by wednesday i hope to have all except the oil and water lines. once i have those installed it is a matter of tuning for the 11psi that the wastegate is set at, as my car sits it has a tune for a much smaller turbo with much less psi.

grinding and rewelding isn't something i have time for with classes and trying to do this build all at the same time, i also have to manage a social life somewhere in there and playing in a regional band.
